that's taking things too far imo.

I think New York is out of the equation, and it's down to Toronto and Dallas.

Looks like D-Will will sign in Brooklyn, and so the mavs will pursue Nash.

I wonder if Nash realizes that he's second fiddle on the Mavs list of PG's, and he was let go by the organization once before.

Don't know if the Mavs can offer more money though, that scares me a bit.

They're going after Deron Williams with a Max contract. Obviously they'd have the money. IMO they are the favorites. If they lose Williams + Kidd they'll be motivated to at least get Nash. Their other option apparently is Lin which speaks volumes. All that and they'd be contenders. I'd be shocked if he picked us over them unless they only offer 2yrs/24Mil.

sorry dude, just felt like saying something. I thought it was pretty needlessly aggressive.

imo saying something like "how the fuck can the ref give that!?" or "player X is fucking shit," and saying "what the fuck is wrong with you" to someone who is going to see the comment are two very different ways of swearing. There are ways and ways of disagreeing with someone. Why belittle someone? just disagree with them. I'm fine with sarcasm and heated debate but that was too much. Maybe i'm being too sensitive, i'm happy to leave it now, just wanted to say something.

Not to mention that it entirely misrepresented fk's point.

Well look at it this way, the poster was making a very ignorant and inaccurate statement about Toronto's management, he posted that statement in a very negative fashion. How on earth people get so out of joint when ridiculous statements like that are called out with a bit of oomph is beyond me. The only reason this place isn't like the old ESPN boards is that mostly, guys don't make ridiculous statements like that.

In any case, I assure you that's as far as I'd take that, but if it pleases you, I shall edit my post and make it a little more...er..nice. How do you ask a guy whats wrong with him and still seem nice though.

I disagree I feel we are the favorites. I think Nash has a sense of pride and wants to go somewhere he feels wanted the most. Something about the way Dallas has approached this tells me he will reject their offer.

The Raptors brass flew to New York, treated him very well, and more importantly are offering him tons of endorsements and post playing career options, whatever the position might be. Not to mention he got a call from the great one!

The mavs aren't contenders with Nash IMO, they would make the playoffs, maybe win a round or two, but that's about it.

If Nash was serious about winning a championship he would sign with Miami.

Also aren't the Mavs being severely out bid for D-will by the Brooklyn Nets? How much could they possibly be offering then..

Guys on here get pissy if people posts information on a thread that has already been posted a few pages before, and hey, that's just fine, but call a guy out forstraight up posting nonsense, and BANG, SJ is out to get the poor innocent poster.

come on guys, this is a bit much, even for here.

just wish Nash would sign with Dallas quickly so we can purse other PG options before all the decent ones are signed.

Uh - huh, right. So he said the plan was to get 5 guys over 40? I don't think he said anything close to that. But my post is ridiculous.

For someone so concerned about negativity you freely spew it with oomph at every opportunity. If you dislike this forum so terribly much, nobody is forcing you to come here and read any posts, let alone take part. If you feel like participating, you can have respect for other viewpoints. That really is not too much to ask. If you think it is, then once again I suggest you consider some other alternative altogether.

He had a legitimate viewpoint. Feel free to think it is ridiculous, even express yourself as thinking it is ridiculous, but please at least represent it accurately, and stay away from proclaiming that any particular participant here is not suitable. This is a forum, not a club for a few guys with thoughts and dispositions that converge with yours or mine or Bryan Colangelo's.

his Opinion was not "fine" it was based upon nothing, and it was factually ridiculous. Sorry man, I ain't letting that past. Let me see;

This is supposed to be Colangelo's building plan? What a colossal failure. No more 35+ year old vets please. We don't need any more vet mentors.

We need high end talent.

There is no way open earth anyone should have to spend time, breaking this post down to show how inept it really is. It isn't an "opinion" it's a hissy fit. I will never hesitate to call this sort of thing out. Nope.

I can only say I know the feeling well SJ. Far too well. Hissy fits do in fact suck. May I suggest that calling for a need of high end talent as opposed to vets at the end of their careers is reasonable, while your response was a hissy fit?

I get that you don't get it. Just carry on.
