cracked the top-20.

18 (24) Raptors 5-9 Bosh's, uh, character-building November continues. Toronto is suddenly a sparkling 1-0 against mighty Boston since his departure. The Raps, with Bosh, had lost their previous six home dates with the Celts dating to 2007.

i think that is about right where we should be right now... a bit below the middle, but not out of range of the playoffs. this team has a heart it never had with Bosh here, he sucked the life out of this team. we now have guys who want to play, every game. yes they will make mistakes, but as we have seen this week, they are a good defensive team especially down the stretch!

they will continue to grow and if Bayless can add some balls to the PG spot, we can match up well most nights against most teams, we have only up to move!!

Bayless is an unknown to me.

Lots of fast, athletic guards in the NBA are shitty.

Hopefully he isn't one of them.

His former teams fans don't miss him much.

Default Raps gaining ground in Power Rankings.

Yeah, it's true.... they often don't mean much... but it's nice to see all the same.

This Week: 20th (up from 23rd)

More surprised that seven of the teams occupying the East's eight playoff spots as of Monday morning sported records of .500 or better? Or that the Bosh-less Raps were No. 8 at a pretty respectable 8-12? Raps for me.

Hollinger has us at 17th.

Pretty accurate except that Golden State should be ahead of us.

How so, they have the same record as us and are worse defensively.

Also, we're 6-4 in our last 10 games and they're 2-8.

Probably the main reason is because they beat us already this season.

Main reason for what, us being ahead of them?

The reason we're ahead of them is because we've been way better then them in the last 10 games. 6-4 vs 2-8

25 (26) Raptors 10-19 Are we already down to nine teams for the East's eight playoff spots? Don't enjoy hitting our Canadian pals with such cold truths, but we see no one -- starting with the Raps at No. 10 -- who can realistically make a move.

WEEK 10

Quote:
25 (25) Raptors 11-22 The Mavs were Dirk-less, but Toronto -- also on the second night of a back-to-back -- had no Bargnani, Calderon, Evans or Peja and lost Kleiza (ejection) and Bayless (ankle) in the second half. We're still tipping our hat.

WEEK 11

Quote:
23 (25) Raptors 13-24 Two games out of No. 8 in the East with all those injuries? The Raps will take it. And there's always this when No. 8 is out of reach: They need just one 3 in 21 more games for 1,000 games in a row with at least one triple.

27 (25) Raptors 13-27 Can this Canada lover get away with focusing on the fact that Jose Calderon recently joined Steve Nash in the exclusive two-man club of point guards with more than one 20-point, 15-assist game this season? Didn't think so.

The one outside the bracket. The one inside the bracket was the team ranking the week before.
