AA over Ross and Gray over Val is messed up IMO
The Gray thing kinda makes sense, but the Ross one is just weird

calm Raptors fans, our players messed themselves up by getting into foul trouble

I thought Gray was in there far too long, but with Amir having 4 fouls, it was entirely excusable. Missed Ed today.

The PG position sucked today. We REALLY need a good backup. Lucas is horrible, Lowry is Lowry.... If we were able to keep Ed and Jose, and trade Bargs for Gay, oh man that could have been sweet. Wishful thinking.

having amir get that questionable 4th foul and lowry get a 4th foul on that clear no foul really changed the game
basically took our starters out at the positions we are most weak now
i thought Gray was in too long without giving JV a quick look
and you're not going to win a game where the NBA is helping the opponent every chance possible if you're going to turnover the ball and also not make any shots
the only way to negate NBA refs is for your shots to fall, the only thing refs can't really screw you on is calling off jump shots

Do you guys think Avery Johnson would be a good replacement for Casey? Or bad? Maybe hire AJ as an assistant? Just an idea.

AJ would never be an assistant for a guy who is not a clearly better coach
he'd only be an assistant for 1 of the biggest names

Ya i figured lol. Do you think he'd be a good coach here then? He seemed pretty good when I watched him on Dallas but I didn't watch him coach very much in New jersey and Brooklyn

I don't really watch other teams or take that much value out of each coach, especially when its not a so called "top tier" coach
anyways, i think the coach is 1 of the lower issues on this team, get a good enough team first so a coach has something real to work with
doesn't matter what coach comes here, you work with average players you're going to get average results

I think he's the right coach for this team.
If there is an issue, it's more cause of the players.

i agree, sure he can sub a different guy here and there, but players not hitting shots, playing spotty defense, turning the ball over are bigger concerns than a coach
you can criticize a coach for a play call but obviously he didn't call "turnover the ball" in his play or "make a stupid foul"
end of the day the coach himself might win or lose you a few games a season but the players themselves determine the majority of the outcomes

clippers' coach is terrible and they were doing fine. we are facing constant roster changes, no coach could help overcome in a day, in a week, nor even in a month. this season is off the books now, good luck for DC next season
no need for this thread anymore I suppose

yup, last year Del Negro was the worst coach in the league and it was a surprise he didn't get fired, this year he gets CP3 and everyone all of a sudden thinks he's a good coach

Casey gets caught up watching the game instead of coaching.
He is not a good mentor for the kids, plus x's and o's he is terrible. He will never out coach any one in the NBANBA

well he wanted a running, athletic team that can play good D, I think he got one after Rudy trade, let's give him some time. and he's no mchale from rockets coaching rookies in d league type coach either. Raptors were a top defense team last year with jose, i think we'll be at least in the same spot this time next year. coaches improve too, let's hope he improves his game time decisions

Chill. We did lose to the NBA champs amd they may just be a better team than us that's been together for longer than us. Friday's win shouldn't go to everyone's head.

hey you can't go 28-75 as a team, and rebound the way we did and win games. Not to mention Bosh dominated, spreading the floor against Grey/Amir. neither of those guys are going to thrive in that situation. Our rotations are still undermanned, and the legs still aren't there late in the game.

I would of done one thing differently - and it would not of been a popular choice here - I thought he should have rolled with Anderson down the stretch instead of Ross.

Ross hit one big three - but he was also MIA on a number of defensive rotations. He essentially had no impact on the game. Anderson, despite missing shots going 1-7, was getting into people defensively and competing.

Bingo
I mentioned it during the game.

They needed AA's size to match Wade and Lebrons size going to the paint.... Ross had zero physical presence in that regard
