Its time ladies and gentlemen.
His prized possession still has no idea how to rotate on defence and doesnt try 80% of the time. He clearly would rather be modelling or eating Penne pasta, or eating Penne Pasta while modelling. His offseason swingman signings over the years are just laughable. Kapono, Kleiza, Turkoglu, and Fields. BC had to make up a BS story about Landry Fields elbow hurting and him getting surgery to cover for his terrible play, even though according to sources Fields never got the surgery and theres nothing wrong with him, well, besides being horrible at basketball. Its been what, 7 years now? He's had his chance. His reputation in the league is shot. Hes a terrible GM for a rebuilding team. Its time to cut ties with the used car salesman. Bring your signs to the games. Show off your new avatar on the messageboards. ![]() This is our 16th year as a franchise. We deserve better. And yes, I know MLSE and upper management is also a huge part of the problem(probably the biggest, but I'm trying to be realistic here because ownership likely wont change for a while.) The reason why I hold out on joining the hate on BC is because I actually see a good team on paper that has been plagued by injuries and really bad officiating, not to mention horrible luck.
3-10 team could easilly be 6-7 right now. Should have won all 3 games on this road trip. I predicted a 4 game win streak after the Orlando game, and it seemed realistic at the time. Now after these 3 games, I'm in shock that we didn't get one. |

As bad as the Raptors have been playing in the 4th quarter, they're just 4 games back of a playoff spot with 69!!!! games remaining in the season..... Everybody needs to take a breather! I'm disappointed at the results like many of you,but let's not forget this is a young roster that hasn't played much together facing a brutal schedule to begin the season. They are close to turning things around, when they string together a couple of wins everything will be fine. Right now is just about getting over the hump and firing Casey or Colangelo is NOT the answer. They need to focus on the roster and figure out how to get the most out of what they have,if not maybe making a trade or two can help but you have to address the on court personnel before management.

I've already gone well past blaming one part of this organization for the failure of the whole. The longer we waste trying to figure out which one is the culprit, the longer we're going to be mediocre. The fact is, it's all three.
Get rid of Casey and get a player's coach who knows how to keep people accountable. Also good Xs and Os would help. I'm thinking a Nate McMillan. If BC could accept the owner's prerogative of trading for youth and picks and starting a real build up of talent, I'd keep him for it, otherwise, fire him and replace him with anyone is half-competent at the job in the interim, maybe Stefanski. Someone who won't just fire sale the team. I would aim to trade Jose, Bargs, Amir and Kleiza for as many rookie contract players and picks as possible. Maybe keep Lowry until the offseason and trade him for a top 5 pick or two lottery picks then. It would probably be necessary to keep one point guard or the other for the season. But if trading both lets us really gun for a top 3 pick that would be good too. I'm guessing we'll see some changes around 5-18. |
