to be fair had we traded the pick for lowry if that was even available, and played just as shitty this year, if not more with the lack of a defensive phenom in ross, I still doubt we could have gotten anyone better than ross in this draft. this draft sucks ass guys and ross could be something special. he's a player that plays on both ends of the court, he was our second best defender today, with Bargnani slightly getting first since he had a tougher assignment in griffen. regardless, there's my rant, ocho needs to go

We may have grown tired of BC as fans but he's still respected within the organization and will be given the opportunity to close out the season and finish his contract. Ownership rather not renew his contract than embarrass him by firing him during the season. BC has long been on a downward spiral but deserves to rectify his problems. The one thing he needs to do is throw in the towel on the Bargnani experiment because even though he's a good player,he has become a fit that doesn't work for this Raptors squad. If he trades Bargnani,I believe that he can make some improvements, but it starts with Bargs

I heard him on the radio pre-game. He sounded like a dead man walking when asked about whether his own contract situation was any kind of a factor moving forward. He talked about how drafting Jonas was proof that he only ever acted in the best interests of this team. But it ended up sounding like he wanted to be sure he old be remembered when Jonas became a great player in a few years.

Another reason for firing him is where would we be with Nash if he got what he really wanted and plan A worked out? We would be even worse.

I feel like something will happen Monday, and if not and we lose, Tuesday for sure.

If nothing happens at all come Wednesday, we are in official tank mode.

why tank mode? we don't need to focus on losses, we just have to play like usually for the and lose it anyway; same result

There's a "firebc.com" website running now that has email addresses of MLSE Directors and other people.

I haven't sent an email yet but it sure sounds to me like a good starting point.

To be fair, it was a great selection in spite all of the pressure to draft a non-euro, non-project type prospect.

oh I wouldn't argue anything differently. But the way Colangelo emphasized how good he would be in a few years seemed like he was ready to claim some kind of legacy that is not yet apparent as much as anything else.

How many more embrassments do we have to endure until action is taken?

The thing that probably kills me the most is that even if we let BC go he'll prob land another job somewhere with a built in excuse....

If we traded our 1st round pick in 2012 and 2013 to move up 1 or 2 spots, could we not have gotten Lilliard or Barnes and a better SG than Ross (currently). I think certainly.

Hockey says bullshit and so does Baseball when the Jays were winning. Every big FA came to the Jays in 90-93. Its not about it being Canada, its about a culture of not spending and losing. Once Labatt soild themself to Interbrew...it was all over for the Jays which was a horrid business decision by going from 55k a game to 20k attendance. And letting Gillick and beaston go was simply retarded.

I don't think BC gets rehired unless it's for a particularly stupid/'1st round centric' team like the Washington Wizards. The whole BC has a good reputation thing is a myth. I bet the vast majority of NBA executives see BC as a total joke and were laughing that he struck again with the Fields contract
