The Toronto Raptors will begin preparations for the 2014 NBA Draft by holding four pre-draft workouts May 29 and June 3-5. Additional dates will be announced as needed.

The pre-draft workouts will be held on the Raptors’ practice court at Air Canada Centre and will be closed for public viewing. Media will have an opportunity for photos, video footage and player interviews following each session. A member of the Raptors Basketball Operations staff will also be available for comments.

Although he is projected to be taken before the Raptors make their draft pick, guard Tyler Ennis (Syracuse) will highlight Thursday’s session with his first pre-draft workout in his hometown. He was recently named to the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Freshman team and was a semi-finalist for the prestigious Naismith College Player of the Year Award. Ennis will join a wave of local talent recently selected in the NBA Draft, including Anthony Bennett (1st pick in 2013 by Cleveland), Kelly Olynyk (13th pick in 2013 by Boston), Andrew Nicholson (19th pick in 2012 by Orlando), Tristan Thompson (4th pick in 2011 by Cleveland) and Cory Joseph (29th pick in 2011 by San Antonio).

A full list of participating players will be released in the morning prior to each workout. Players and workout times are subject to change. Please call the Raptors media information line (416) 815-6111 for the latest information.

Toronto earned the 20th overall pick in this year’s draft after finishing the 2013-14 campaign with a team-record 48 wins. The Raptors also have the 37th and 59th picks in the second round. The 2014 NBA Draft will be held June 26 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Both rounds will be shown live on TSN and NBA TV Canada beginning at 7 p.m.

He played PG. He will have to switch to SF. Great rebounder obviously.

Ideally I'd like a wing, a big, and a PG out of this draft. If you grab two of those positions with your 20 and 37 (both BPA), then you grab the other at 59.

At 20, there are a bunch of intriguing prospects. My shortlist is Capela and Porzingis at PF/C, McDaniels at SF, Ennis and Payton at PG. Any of those would be a success at 20, and I think at least one will definitely still be available, and if none are someone has seriously slipped.

There's been talk that SG is the strongest position in this draft, but I don't see it, and don't like most of the wing prospects in this draft (after the top prospects, obviously): James Young, Gary Harris, Rodney Hood - none of these guys look like they can overcome their weaknesses with their strengths to me. So I hope to get one of the 5 listed above, and if they are gone, I hope it's not a SG that slipped.

At 37 I'm hoping Inglis and Stokes are both still available (unlikely) so we can pick against whatever position we grabbed at 20 (most likely both Ennis and Payton will be gone at 20). So at that stage you've 2 positions. If one is left you take him regardless of the position you grabbed at 20, as I think these 2 are the 2 best in that range. If they are both gone, someone like Tavares (crazy potential there, he's only been playing since 17 years old) at C or DeAndre Daniels at SF.

Then at 59, you take the 3rd position, because at 59 it's a total crapshoot talent wise anyway. So I've got Bachynski at C (he's old, but very solid and a Canadian to boot), Jahii Carson at PG, DeAndre Daniels at SF if he slips down, or Jabari Brown at SG (crazy good shooter).

I feel like the Raps can get one player off each of those lists. If they can have one off each list and no positional overlap that would be a very successful draft in my opinion.

Certainly is, he's called "slo mo" cause it looks like he's playing in slow motion. He's slow but deliberate and his passing and bbiq certainly negated his lack of speed in college. He's also very weak in his lateral movement so the "experts" have pegged him as a SF, as most believe he will be too slow defensively to handle much much faster guards in the NBA.

One more to add: at 37, I might just grab Spencer Dinwiddie. Gets to the line like crazy, can hit his 3's, and passes well for a SG. Could be a 6th man type of player, and he's really a 1st round talent slipping due to an ACL injury. Never got by on athleticism alone, so the injury isn't that scary to me. If Inglis and Stokes aren't there (or we took a guy at their position in the first round), I'd go Dinwiddie.

I like Delon Wright.

Could see him having a rookie campaign similar to MCW

6foot5 180lb PG

16ppg, 6rpg, 5apg 2.5spg, 1bpg

55% fg

Poor shooter overall though 22% from the 3pt line

Quick, can finish at the rim, great defender.

Potentially a very high rewards player imo, but I dont know if he actually declared or not yet.

Yep, prefect to pair with a defensive center with a penchant for blocks on the second unit. Or go small ball and have PP/Payne together. Good times good times

He's expected to declare for 2015.
