Has there ever in a draft in this team's history where we just made great moves and made out like bandits? We either just do ok or we reach on wtf players?

I think that has to be a factor. And i can't help but wonder if Masai has had his eye on him for a long time through basketball without borders and wanted to make sure he got him. Whatever the case, he's got some splainin' to do.

Have some faith people, Masai isn't a stupid GM, he was a pro scout many years before he was GM, he knows what hes doing.

To all of those who assume that Bruno would've been there at 37 or 59, tell me, how do you know? Because of mock drafts? Seriously? That's your thought process? Do you really think Masai is that out of touch with reality after so many of you were drooling over his moves in year 1 ?

Get real. Be patient for once in your fanhoods.

It's funny, because if the Spurs picked Bruno, which they very may well have, everyone would be shitting themselves, fearing him becoming the next MVP, and the ESPN analysts would be talking about his positives as a prospect instead of crapping on the kid on live TV.

I'm trusting in Masai on this one. I didn't see it coming. He was unprojected because he refused to do workouts for any team. He could have gone anywhere. If Masai figured the Spurs or something were going to jump on him between now and 37, he had to grab him now if he wanted him. Perhaps the team just wasn't as high on Capela or McDaniels as I was.

We'll see what happens the rest of the draft. Still want the Raps to get another 1st (seems the MEM deal fell through as they were hoping for Adams to be there).

Pretty much! That being said, what ever. Nothing we can do about it now, but boy will this be interesting when Ujiri explains this one.

2-4 years but the Raptors need help today. Don;t have the luxury to stash a first round pick overseas like the Spurs can.

I don't have a clue who Bruno is, so I can't say if it's a good or bad pick. Time will tell. It's obvious, though, that he won't help the team this year.

Well the spurs have multiple rings and can afford bold moves. We just wanted someone who can contribute right away.
