so we get some defence and rebounding for 3 months and then we're in the same position we would have been with Juan???

I'm down...

And it's also more likely that Carlos will be the 3rd PG. Down with that too.

It's also about being good to Dixon. It's a wise move to please players. Colangelo is good at making friends and keeping his reputation.

Shits important man. Very.

i think most importantly, we dont hurt our payroll/financial flexibility, esp in regards to resigning Jose. Colangelo said as much in his interview on rapstv

Brezecs ugly. I dont wanna see any shots of our bench during the games anymore. He looks like a fucked up cabbage patch kid.

Exactly .... we had too much depth in the back court anyways and it doesn't hurt to have an extra big man kickin' around.

I've seen Brezec play before. He's decent.

Can't believe we couldn't pick up a back-up pg tho.

It will be interesting to see how Bargnani will react if Brezec starts taking his minutes...

There's one other thing to keep in mind, it's almost 100% that we're going to play orlando or cleveland in the first round. Both teams have a great front-court (even though Orlando's front court is really one player ...). Since we can't really get a lebron stopper in exchange for dixon, it's always nice to have an extra 7 footer to bang with howard/wallace/ilgauskas/varejao inside ...

exactamundo Mowemile.

As well, he ain't a complete stiff. He was averaging good numbers until he ot really sick last year, and this year he was buried behind 3 really good forwards.

He was dropping something like 15 and 9 in Charlotte. That ain t bad for a back up stiff.

where do you guys think this leaves Rasho?

If Brezec can be the same player that Rasho is defensively, it may make him redundant.

the battle of the two Slovenians begins i suppose.

You should be banned for putting Brezec in the same SENTENCE as the great slovenian.

Brezec is the 15th man. Nothing more, nothing less. He isnt gonna play over Rasho hahaha.

absolutely agree.
while brezec wont get significant minutes, he'll definitely be used as a big body in the middle to grab boards, foul, and give an inside presence.
dixon, on the other hand would have been in street clothes.
