It's not a stretch because he was going to be picked in the first round.

i wasnt a Bargnani fan. merely felt he was misused.

in the real world that is a big difference, with Raptors fans though if negativity/hate/racial comments arent hurled at someone they are a fan boy and if any sort of criticism is cited regarding a player it is hating.

That sounds pretty decent, against adults I assume. I think Liga= fiba, atleast that's what I get searching it. That's something very positive looking forward. I still haven't voted good or bad, but I'm leaning towards good atm. If he's a SF who can defend and shoot, and that's all, it'd be a very good pick at pick 20.
100% and that's what I expect from him (or hope really). He has the tools to be a really good defender and he can hit the 3; Id be extremely happy with that as well from a #20 pick. Anything else is gravy.

The 7-6" wingspan and strong attitude and being only 8...errr...18 (still teasing a little Omar36 ) bodes well for his future growth and development. I can't wait to see him on the court over the next year or so.

It's a stretch cause the opposite is well documented. Once again, for your information (maybe your use of Google is not that efficient...):

Quote:
When it became known that Utah and Phoenix were poised to pounce on Caboclo well before Toronto could at 37, Ujiri pounced, willing to deal with the consequences.

Toronto had encouraged the Brazilian not to come to North America to do workouts, knowing he would likely rocket up the charts based on his athleticism and shooting abilities.
Quote:
This is no Rafael Araujo or Andrea Bargnani situation. The kid has talent and he has heart. While that might not be enough, in the end, it just might be and Toronto, unlike some of the NBA’s golden franchises, needs to take chances like this every once in a while in order to meet the eventual goal of becoming a contender.
Take it easy Raps fans, Ujiri knows what he's doing | Raptors | Sports | Toronto

Ya I thought the press conference was going to be streamed at least but they are going to upload it later. Looks like he's doing drills in front of media now.

Nice...thanks for the post Acie. I love this - right after the draft and already on the court working with coaches. This kid is hungry and willing to work.

I hope KL sees that and sees how hard MU is working on the team and culture.

I've no doubt KL will see it. KL will also make sure that BC5 feels a part of the family.

He's only 18, so he could possibly still be growing. Scary thought.

Yes we should call him BC5, until he gets a better nickname. BC is not a good nickname for the kid, it gives me nightmares.
