The point was you stated Brazil was not a basketball power whatsoever which is not the case. I'm sure you know a thing or two about Euro ball but last I checked, Brazil is not in Europe.

Edit: Jeepers, who the heck do you cheer for?!

yeah JV last year was awesome, but tbh, this kid entices me a lot more (only cause of his crazy physical gifts). he will likely be the youngest player at the SL at only 8, so it will be great to see how he goes up against other rookies.

first game raps up against randle and the lakers. i want to see him try to guard randle who is much more stronger to see how he holds up.

That sounds pretty decent, against adults I assume. I think Liga= fiba, atleast that's what I get searching it. That's something very positive looking forward. I still haven't voted good or bad, but I'm leaning towards good atm. If he's a SF who can defend and shoot, and that's all, it'd be a very good pick at pick 20.

And I still believe that european basketball and the NCAA is a better indication to assess players in general than the Brazilian league. This is not to say the pick is horrible, I just don't like the facts and the background of this thus far. I sure hope I am wrong he will become the Brazilian KD, but for now, I still feel it was a reach and we could have done differently.

That's fair but I have to agree with others, since we don't really know, how do we predict such negativity? And honestly, I think that the KD comparison started with his physical structure in mind.

I'm excited to see what he's going to bring in SL.

Raw, skinny, physically gifted, tenacious effort on D, ability to shoot, mobile.

Scary comparison. I hope Massai's signing in Daye is no indication whatsoever of this draft pick.

compared to other Brazilian players, must have been the most dominate 4 points in Brazilian league history

I'm still shocked, stunned, and it was the 20th pick which we shouldn't care about

if this was last year in a weak draft class I would have agreed on taking a chance, but this year there were several role players that can contribute in one of the deepest drafts I've in a long long time

sigh Raptors will always be the raptors,

Yeah, but some positive signs are this kid likes to work hard and improve. daye was a guy who was reluctant to add muscle and that's what killed his NBA chance. Also this kid looks more athletic compared to daye

Edit: also I personally believe daye was signed as the driver for the tank, nothing more

I know I've been killing this pick but I do have to say I love the deandre daniels pick

I would've preferred hood if I was making the selection, he is nba ready

Barbosa didn't tip off Masai. He tipped off PHX.

Masai already knew of Bruno from Basketball without Borders.

we'll see this guy in sl, very few rooks can gaurd starter 3s right away...if he does well against the other newbies then maybe he will be alright sooner than later

DC was big on him in the presser
