Prince only has 1 year left on his contract. Most people expect MU to be active in FA in 2015 when the team will have ample cap space. Prince's contract fits with that philosophy, and Prince would be a solid mentor to the younger Raps, including BC, Ross, and DD. He's also still a productive, rotation player. I was thinking the Raps might like Bogdanovic because that kid can shoot, or even Cappela.

Also Masai saying it's likely/ a high chance he'll either be playing in the D-league or over seas instead of being in the lineup/rotation. Also pointing out that they even had other wing players ahead of Bruno but they were also gone... No doubt in my mind he was going to select Bruno somewhere but NOT with the 20 if they ended up getting Ennis or w/e wing they had ahead of Bruno. They would of tried to get him elsewhere, just NOT ahead of Ennis is what I'm saying and what Casey and Masai are saying.
I didn't get that out of Doc's comments, and I never said anything of the sort

Masai said that about Daniels going d-league or overseas.

He didn't say they had other wing players ahead of Bruno. He said Bruno was 2nd on their board and Ennis was first. Where do you get other wing players from. There was absolutely nothing like that. If you can, go re-listen to both the Masai and Casey post draft comments, because that should make it clearer for you.

It's funny, Masai is saying that BC wouldn't develop fast enough overseas but Daniels might go. Lol

I don't think they have any intention on signing him. He better impress in SL. LOL

Right? Maybe it was just a whatever pick after all...but that doesn't seem to be in MU's nature...

Doesn't really matter. Unless they give Lowry an outrageous contract, the team can sign both and still be under the luxury tax. Even with the $6M (saving from Salmons' buyout), the team won't have much cap space to land a top or 2nd-tier FA unless they let everyone go (Lowry, Amir, etc.).

There been a fair few comparisons to Javale mcGee. MU drafted JM for the same reason he picked Caboclo. Jm pretty much sucks. Napier, Hood, or Capela, if you prefer, could end up being worth far more than McGee... or BruCab. He could be anything from Kwame to Amir. I'm going to flat out say Durant is impossible without knowing a thing about him. Even 18 year olds out of high school, when it was allowed in the draft, were projected to be better, went much earlier and were not nearly the raw project this is. If he ends up better than Amir (fdor example) at his age now, he's the lowest pick that's 18 year old to ever turn out that way. But some people can't even admit this is a big gamble? Mu is a good Gm but he's not Jesus. I'm not a god fearing man, but if this kid turns out better than Amir, I will switch from Chritianity or Masaiism and drink the koolaid too.

Would have taken Prince and the pick in a heartbeat. We have no SF. Don't really think that was on the table as we understand it to be.

Ahh true, thought he was talking about Bruno my bad had to raise my volume up to hear the reporter say "what about your 37th pick?" He said he had other wings player ahead of him, not Bruno but Daniels. Thanks for correcting me, now I can expect more from him this year than D-league. And that is what Doc's saying but we agreed to disagree, that's what we were arguing about.

Prince was way better than Fields. By "it doesn't matter" refers to Prince having one year left on his contract. Fits perfectly with making a big move next off-season. Is that really difficult to comprehend?

I go camping for two days and all hell breaks loose :cookie:

Not that it matters, but I'll post what I think anyway.
I know nothing about Bruno (seems like none of you do), so wtf is the point to say if this is a good or bad pick? Lets wait until he plays in the SL (at the very least) to make any predictions.
so I voted that it's a good pick, but really I don't know a jack shit until i see him play

does his 7 million affect our cap? Does it yes or no? I'm confused tbh.

Also "way better" no he is not, hardly a defender now. Clearly Masai didn't feel anoney at 22 was worth taking in his contract or he would gave done it

yea cause fran franshiclaiscals knows wtf he is talking about. There is a video about him basically going back on those words like a bitch. It could potentially be true but I'd rather wait and watch this guy play before I would believe something like that

Yes, his salary of $7M would count this year, but he only has one year left and then off the books. To deal Salmons and #37 for Prince and #22 would have been a good deal. Prince is much better than Salmons and the team wouldn't have to overpay on a SF in FA or use the MLE, which would eat into next year's cap. Prince would have also been a good mentor for BC.

The Raps have long been rumoured to be targeting 2015 as the year to make aggressive moves in FA because they are anticipated to have a lot of cap room. So while Prince's salary counts this year, it won't next year since he's an expiring. It makes him a good fit with both the team's short and long-term plans.
