In 3-5 years when JV reaches his potential, this team might be something if it has some new pieces to grow with him.

There's a lot of good point guards out there, but I wouldn't let Lowry go. He can defend, rebound, score, create for himself etc. He does a lot of good things and can become even better. I would be willing to trade anyone on the roster including DeRozan except for Val and Lowry.

Only thing is why resign Lowry to an expensive, multiyear deal when the Raps are gonna be shit for the 3 years if they do tank. I never understood why this team can't even tank properly. Get rid of considerable talent for prospects/picks, play young players, win as little games possible and get a top 3 pick. This team needs franchise changing talent.

So, 2.5yrs into rebuilding after Bosh leaves, we're just starting to accumulate some talent and you want to unload the few talented players we have? Jesus Christ, it's a good thing some of you aren't GM's.

Who unloads their best talent just over 2yrs into a rebuild? RME

Watch that we don't tank for OKC. If it does end up a 4th pick and they pick up a gifted, ball handling, slashing shooter of a SF, I quit!

Trade Bargs/Lowry/Caldy, amnesty Kleiza...build around Ross/Davis/JV/Derozan and the prospects/picks we get from the trades. When did I say trade the best talent we have? It may be a "2 year rebuild" but the team's been mediocre at best for the most part in the last 7 years even with Bosh.

A quick fix won't work for this team where BC throws money at an aging FA. People need to look at the big picture instead of hoping for just playoff basketball. This team needs a Houston Rockets type rebuild after Yao and TMac left. They freed up salary, stocked up on picks who are starting to come into their own (Parsons, Patterson) and they picked up a top SG as well trading some of their assets.

Kleiza is the last guy i would amnesty. He's a 4.5Mil expiring at the end of the season, he's tradeable imo. You build around Lowry/Derozan/Ross/Davis/Valanciunas, Amnesty Amir (owed around 14Mil the next 2 seasons), Trade Bargs + Kleiza for a SF, let Calderon go somewhere else next summer and go from there. You're still keeping a good chunk of the young group together, adding a piece or two through trade and have capspace.

Apparently the Celtics are looking to get Gortat from the Suns, a pick and roll with Lowry and Gortat would be something to watch for sure. Lets hope BC is making some calls as we speak.

ALL ABOARD!!!

Trade Jose, Bargs, Amir, Kleiza. Play the rooks. In the offseason get a whole new staff; New GM, President, Coaching staff. I guess I'd keep the scouts, but that's about it.

With our first pick going to OKC (only first 3 picks protected) ... it's hard to celebrate Tanking ... with our luck we will get the 4th pick.

It's not without merit if you haven't drafted any high-end talent outside of JV who is still only 20 years old.

No tanking guys. We are just going to end up giving OKC a good pick. I saw we still try our asses off and win as many games as possible. We probably won't make the playoffs, so hopefully we end up giving OKC a 10th or higher pick

Tanking is stupid. BC isn't lucky enough to get a top three pick, so you are just helping OKC.

Tanking is the easy answer for people who find losing too painful.

besides, tanking in a year where it's extremely unlikely to even get a pick.. not smart.

I am not going to cheer for the raps to loose, just to get that top 3. But lets look at the things the way they are, we are one of the worst teams in the league (for whatever reasons/excuses we have). So its either we win have win/loose record like last year and give OKC their pick or we actually tank and get that top 3. Unless anyone here believes that we will make that playoffs these are our options.
Hell i don't even care about the playoffs as long as we can compete and this team is exciting to watch and build the winning mentality. But right now we are not doing any of that. I think that Raps from last season would beat us

Is there a way we could trade someone to OKC in order to re-retain the rights to our pick? DanH? Is that possible?
