That seemed like a wasted opportunity. Way too many breaks, nonsense and advertising and not enough content. If Vince made a documentary, I think it would be something people in Toronto would actual look forward to unlike that first ink bullshit.

That made me sad for a second, then I realized we could have this again, demar, jonas, ed/amir/bargs, maybe bayless, maybe barnes. I know its different, but I can hope I guess

Vince suggesting that a loss in the second round was practically like making it to the Finals was exactly why these guys hold no real interest for me.

I enjoyed the look on Vince's face after he heard what Kobe'd said about the championships. "We coulda wha?" Serves you right, leotardo.

You sure you didn't mean Tracy? Vince isn't the one that left first and Tracy said he'd never heard that.

Kind of disagree... he was pointing out that Philly was the biggest challenge in the Eastern side, and Miilwaukee was somewhat of a cinderella.... his point has some merit.

He was allowing himself to be far too easily consoled by a sense of achievement where none was warranted. It's so much of where his personality all too often took him. Winning was just an aspect of the game, and it wasn't necessarily an essential aspect. He had far too many nights where he was not embarrassed by a blow-out loss, and he lived off of big wins and recognition for highlight plays far too much.

I see what you are saying, though I think he got a little tired of the bandwagon of hate that seems to permeate toronto sports media.... I think it's telling that he made it to the finals with NJ and we've floundered ever since he left. I think getting out of the first round is an accomplishment, though I guess getting to the playoffs is too. If he makes that shot, he's right, nobody is whining about his graduation.... so what, he missed the shot. taking philly to game 7 in the second round isn't nothing.

Maybe he had a coping mechanism to shrug off the criticism, we all have them. He had far too many nights where he didn't get any support from teammates in his later raptor seasons, and I think McGrady subtly addressed that point as well.

I just don't understand why so many continue to harbour great levels of resentment.... and Oakley is right that management shouldn't have been so quick to change up the roster.

Yeah, agreed! Oak is right, they shouldn't of dissolved after that philly series.
All in all, good memories, never forget that shot vs philly tho...damn

I'm not sure what is being told. we didn't exactly flounder after he left. we got better for some time. And NJ never got a sniff of the Finals when he was there. He had one nice season there, and otherwise floundered with them, or certainly underperformed. He's basically very happy to be winning every other game, and that is what has defined his career, with a couple seasons where others carried him to a better-than-even record, and a couple of seasons where he was dragged down below that by poor rosters.

Just finished watching.

Made my heart ache to think about what these guys squandered here in Toronto.

You'd think that they might have learned something from watching Mighty Mouse piss his career away in POR (later he admitted that leaving was his biggest regret).... guess not.

I've always thought that Vince was probably the most talented player that I'd seen in the last 25 years or so outside of Jordan.... if he'd have even had Kobe's drive and will he might have rivalled MJ for "best ever".

Oakley sounded like he needs to finish 4th grade grammar classes ('brung'?). Vince is still giving BS answers ('You wouldn't ask that question if I made the shot,' - yes, but if you played the whole game, maybe we would have been up by 10 with a minute left). TMac seemed like he had forgotten that Toronto Raptors are a team that he once played for.

Overall, it was pretty bad. The host did a decent job, though he should've asked Vince again if he would have booed himself.

Honestly, though, a show like this really shows how bad the lockout is getting. These guys seemed like they only came on to promote the brands they're getting paid to represent.

Let's go Jonas!
