Knicks NY Daily News: New York Knicks may target Chris Bosh

Quote:
If the Knicks find themselves struggling to woo LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, who can become free agents next summer, they'll likely turn their attention to the players such as Chris Bosh and Joe Johnson, who are expected to headline the next tier of potential free agents at season's end.

Regardless of how much money the Knicks will have to spend, there's no guarantee of landing a superstar given the state of the franchise, and because James grew up in Ohio and Wade appears to be staying put in Miami - on Tuesday Heat owner Micky Arison said he had "every indication" that Wade wants to finish his career where it started.

And while Bosh isn't the same caliber of player, he has already and quite infamously laughed at the idea of playing in New York.

Well this article is basically like saying The Sky is Blue. Bosh will have problaby 2 or 3 choices in which he will choose to play at.

It'll be interesting to see how the NBA will change especially when we problably will see a 5 million dollar drop in the cap. Knicks picked a perfect time to go under the cap right when it shrinks

Where's the news? Wasn't this speculation being tossed around all last season as well.

Speaking of Joe Johnson, if Bosh bails Joe should be high on the priority list. Him and Bargnani would be a nice one-two combo with Jose and Hedo moving the ball.

You just need a guy to play centre and someone to defend at the point

i think NY will look at Bosh or Amar'e...
Lebron is a long shot (although they are on his short list, im sure), and they know they will have a better chance of landing someone who is more in the background.
but seriously, other than location, whats their selling point? the knicks stink. bad.

I've said this before, but the location alone is a damn strong selling point. Again, cleveland pales in comparision IMO.

and you have to wonder with Lebron there, and a couple of other crafty pickups, they suddenly wouldn't stink that bad at all.

However my hate for the knicks is rather strong, so hope they don't kand anyone good.

if dollar sign is what lebron is after, then NY is the best possible place for him.
the endorsements alone would be in the hundreds of millions.

funny thing is, i actually want lebron to go to the knicks... it would be exciting. albeit, annoying. they would shove the Lebron-media-machine down our throats... it would be sickening.

they'll target everybody, but you'd have to be crazy to go there. Not only they have a horrible history and a horrible team, but in order to get somebody to sign there they would have to let go both lee and robinson. And they won't have a pick this lottery

Unless money is all he wants, NYK should not be a destination for any good player this summer.

Eh, I disagree 'trane. If it was truly spicy indian food, the outcome is more or less set in stone.

God speed.
