I think he will be gone as the head coach. If you guys think he's gone, who do you think should (or will) be brought in to replace him? |

![]() Well if Leiweke is serious about thinking big, we should be like the Clippers and reaching out to JVG/SVG.
But if we're unable to get one of them, I'd look to hire Brian Shaw. I've never been a fan of hiring someone with no head coaching experience, but I think Shaw is capable of coming in and becoming a good head coach immediately from his experience working as Phil Jacksons right hand man, and being coached by him before that. I honestly think he'd turn out like Thibodeau did, after his years as JVGs right hand guy. |

![]() A new coach should be Ujiri's first move. He has to start establishing a new culture from day one. If he decides that Casey can be his long term coach, he'll keep him on. If he decides Casey isn't, he'll cut him loose. He's been around the NBA long enough to make the decision. He doesn't need to keep Casey around for another year to make the decision. Don't think he'll let grass grow under his feet. None of this manana stuff. I don't think he's about tanking. If that was the preferred route, they just would have picked up BC's option for one year only. Anything that BC would have wanted to do would have to have been OK'd by TL, so stupid things would have been stopped in their tracks.

![]() i'm with niggles. the GM should bring in his guys that will be working with his philosophy so they can have a strong relationship and share the same vision on players roles and expectations. casey isn't ujiri's guy, so get rid of him.

![]() If we are en route to tanking, I don't know how Casey will respond to it. He seemed reluctant to tank even with a losing record for the past years, and if he's on his final year I would assume he would want to win and save his job. If he listens to Ujiri reluctantly to go with the tank, he'd be gone regardless since Ujiri would probably want a dif coach. I think it's a lose-lose for Casey.

![]() I don't think Casey is good enough for the team we are hoping will be built. I also don't think he'd be on board with any tanking, overt or otherwise, so I think he won't be back for next season.
