Default No Barnes or Irving in the Draft?

Barnes Will Let Loss Heal Before Making NBA Decision - RealGM Wiretap

Irving Will Take Time Making NBA Decision - RealGM Wiretap

This would suck for the tanking teams, but this could mean all the players below them get moved up. It would be interesting if both of them don't declare.

Obviously we want Irving, but Walker is looking like an equally-appealing prospect.

if these guys are projected #1, why wouldn't they want to go to the NBA? why waste an extra year in the NCAA.

Maybe they want to stay school, maybe refine their game a bit, maybe its the fear of a possible lockout next season?

Yeah, basically those 3.

Others that I like: Enes Kanter, Alec Burks and Brandon Knight.

Enes Kanter? Jarred Sullinger?

If we don't get Kyrie Irving, we need someone to replace Reggie Evans. I'm sure he's a great teammate but he's just too one dimensional.

Sullinger is going back to Ohio State for another year, made his decision after they lost.

That's the problem with players being able to enter the draft after only 1 year of college. Draft classes like these are almost a crap shoot when it comes to picking talent after the top 2.

There should be a 2 year rule.

trading the pick would be a logical move

if we could get a Steph Curry for a top 5 pick I would do it,

with Barnes, Sullinger, and Irving all staying becuase of hte fear of a 1 year lockout out, like the NHL which is the current rumour in NBA circles, well from what i heard from Jason WIlliams at the Mcdonalds all american game saying htge NBA could lock out for entire year

makes more sense age wise to, we don't need to get younger, we need veterens and guys closer to the age of Demar and Bargs, adding Curry would be great

having those 3 run our offense and just bring in defensive guys around them,

Demar would get easy lay ups with the spacing, you cant leave Bargs and Curry just far to dangerous shooting wise

Kabongo didn't look that great in the all american mcdonalds game, he does have great handles, but his floor decisions are poor, and his speed is over rated, he is quick but its not that dominated speed that everyone says he has, ala D Rose and John Wall, pluse he is small, T.J Ford small

he might be a top 10 pick if he works on his game but I would doubt that next year,

on the other hand Birch is a 5 star prospect, and could be a shot blocking offensive rebounding beast by the time he is ready for the NBA

This talk happens every year. The impending lockout might have an effect, but it doesn't make the risk of waiting another year any less. It's just empty chatter right now.
