Default Nice article from Feschuk

Quote:

``They're crowding the lane a lot more,'' Bosh said, explaining himself. But anyone who watches can tell you the defences haven't changed, Bosh's approach has.

Perhaps he is opting for jump shots to limit his risk of injury with a $130 million (all figures U.S.) payday looming in July. But don't the Raptors, desperate to make the playoffs, deserve honest effort for the $15.8 million they are paying him this season? Perhaps he doesn't want to continue to expose the startling lack of explosiveness he's been showing in his rare sorties to the goal, what with the health of his brace-sheathed knees.

And what to make of Bosh's game-high five turnovers, which brought his tally of giveaways to 19 in the past four games?

``I have no idea. I turn the ball over, I turn the ball over,'' Bosh said. ``I really don't pay attention to that statistic too much. I don't care.''

It was nice to hear some post-game truth, at last. Denver's stars made plays. Toronto's star doesn't care about giving the ball away or, judging by the way he's playing, anything but his next contract.

I defend Bosh because the hatred some clowns show him on the boards is ridiculous...

But if he actually said that, wow. Just wow. He should be bashed like crazy. Turnovers=losses fool.

People just double team him right away now or zone the ball side that he's on with 3 defenders.

With Calderon/Derozan/Turk in the lineup we look like shit because no1 can produce other than Bosh/Bargs. Now with Weem's midrange jumper, Bosh looked a bit better.

His turnovers are ridiculous though. He's turning into Dwight Howard lol.

Wow, quite harsh. But there is some truth there. I can't believe what he said about TO's! He doesn't pay attention to that statistic, or care? I guess it didn't matter to him that we were up by 3 with seconds left and fumble the ball out of bounds, which led to a game tying 3 instead of us extending the lead with FT's? If that doesn't matter to him he needs to give his head a shake. In all honesty though this is very similar to when wince was playing like shit towards the end here and the reporters all one by one started throwing him under the bus. Obviuosly he's not playing that bad, but it's obvious CB4 will play his final game in a Toronto uniform in about one months time.

he is a really bad ball handler and not a good defender, so why would he get $130 mil?

he's not going to get a MAX unless a team's desperate

Are you high? Bosh has at least 6 teams that would sign him to a max deal and will if given the opportunity, including us. Especially considering it's likely that Lebron/Wade stay put.Bosh will sign a max contract in a few months time, the only question is with who?

I am, I also don't think LeBron and Wade extend for the full 6 years, they'll extend for 4 so they can always put pressure on their teams to get better

Bosh on the other hand will want 6 years cause he's not a #1 on a good team

Yeah, you are high then. Wade/Bosh/Lebron are all gonna get 130Mil contracts. Like it or not, Bosh is looked at as the best younger PF in the game.

I heard that LeBron and Wade will sign 3-4 year extensions like they did last time so they put pressure on management to always field a quality team

Link? I mean, why not just sign the 6yr/max deal, then in 4yrs if that player isn't happy ask for a trade?

on TV, I think Broussard or someone said it
I don't think you want to be in a position to demand a trade, cause the only time thats acceptable is if the team in really bad and they shouldn't be in that position

I think a part of his problem with the turnovers is could be because of his hands.

if you look closely, his hands seem on the on small side for somebody his size so he could be more susceptible to TO's because of that...and plus he plays around with the ball too much to begin with.

I don't know what you guys are saying, Bosh is the best SF we have on this team... wait, has anyone told him he's not really a SF? He clearly wants his max money and will look to get his points/rebound numbers to get his...

Petro abused him last night... lol

don't take these comments too literally - and never take Feschuk at face value, he's the bad cop to doug's good cop routine ...

of course Bosh cares for how he plays, what he probably meant was that he doesn't look at stats, he plays his game and so on and so forth, the usual cliches.

the problem with Bosh is that ever since the all-star break, his play has deteriorated. Even before the injury, he had a bad game against Memphis.

There are several reasons for this sub-par performance:
- he's tired
- he's not 100% after the injury
- he doesn't care anymore for whatever reason

Personally, I have big issues with either reason, he shouldn't be tired at this point in the season, he shouldn't take 6 weeks to recover from a injury that seemed fairly minor (he was able to finish that game, with a bit of a limp), and under no circumstance he should give up on an organization that bent over backwards to keep him happy. Even if he doesn't like the coach/teammates, he owes it to the business entity and the fans.

Maybe there's a different reason, but I can't think of any other.

With the above statements from Bosh, I hope that some posters here would remember their repeated harsh comments and judgments on players like Bargnani like "not caring, playing for money, having no integrity..." while Bosh was shown as being the only one that plays with heart.
It is only natural that there would not be the necessary chemistry between Bosh and the others, while Bosh seems to be thinking about his contract, and the others feel that Bosh would not be playing with them after this season. Every one of them would be thinking about his own future, or next year when the team will be structured with no Bosh.

There are different kinds of turnovers. If he gets turnovers like he did last night, from having a heel on the line while grabbing a loose ball, or getting called on a charge or getting stripped of the ball after getting an offensive board in a crowd, then he certainly should not care - definitely not to the point of changing anything.

He passed the ball nicely in the first part of the game last night. He needed to do more of that in the fourth quarter. But then of course Feschuk would have blasted him for deferring too much. There's definitely reason to be concerned about the health of Bosh's legs. But to start throwing shit speculation about his motivations, and suggest he had no aggression at all, when he grabbed a very important offensive board for a putback late in the game, just puts Feschuk on the level of some of the trolls around here. Trying to turn every game into a soap opera is just fucked up. But I suppose there is an audience for that sort of thing.
