The next 2 games shape our draft position

Quote:

This is a season of nonsensical numbers and results. For example, in their two losses last week, the Raptors shot 50 percent. In their two wins, they shot 41 percent. This week, they have a couple of big draft-position games on the schedule. They visit the Pistons on Friday and then host the Bucks a night later.

Current Standings
Milwaukee 15-24
Toronto 13-26
Detroit 13-26

Huge weekend for tank nation..

Power Rankings: Bulls take back No. 1 spot | NBA.com

I really think the tank is done...

The raps have really gelled into a decent team the past couple weeks, and a lot of that was learning how to score without AB.

Now you add a pure scorer who can put up 20 easy, stretch out the offence, and gives you decent effort on defence...things can only get better.

Bankiz 03-09-2012 03:48 AM

i will not go so far as said with barg this team will be better.
because they have find a nice cohesion without him. just hope his return don't clash all this.
(example: the return of anthony for the knicks had break their cohesion. and now they lose)

The next six games are going to be fun. I think the tank is still rolling, but the losses are going to be smaller.

Last year I tried to calculate the "margin of loss" for the Raptors to verify that it was getting smaller throughout the year, but it was the same for all months (I think around 13). This year it seems pretty obvious that the margin of loss is getting smaller. Proof that the team is getting better baby!

There might be some website that shows the margin of loss that I'm not clued into.

I would be very happy if we could have 4-6 worst record entering the draft, but i doubt this will happen. Now i just hope that we will get crazy lucky and find another hidden talent like Kevin Love

LET'S GO RAPTORS!!!!! 03-09-2012 12:58 PM

Yeah, Kevin Love was not a hidden talent, he played for UCLA and was drafted 5th in a decent draft. A hidden talent would be DeAndre Jordan, Monta Ellis, Manu, Carlos Boozer or Paul Millsap, very good/starting/all star/near all star players drafted in the 2nd round.

True, but the Spurs are the Detroit Red Wings of the NBA in terms of scouting. :cookie:

Yes, at least as seen at the time of the draft.

Given his track record, i'd say so. When he held onto our pick, and it was top 15 or so, it was a good pick. Eddy, DD, Val (yet to be proven but looking like it). Normally his picks haven't been what the public expected or wanted, but in hindsight it has been agreed.

LOG 03-09-2012 02:02 PM

well i really hope he will find some gold this time :yeah:

It's time to get serious then, START BUTLER-TANK COMMANDER.

Looks like tank-nation got their wish

LX 03-11-2012 09:30 PM

the next two games are pretty big as well. Cleveland and NJ.

Shifty.py 03-11-2012 10:47 PM

why is our draft position getting shape of being bent over with cheeks spread out? :sigh:

Ball Don't Lie 03-11-2012 10:55 PM

Great job so far. We could end up being on a 13 game losing streak or 11/13 by months end.

Admiral 03-12-2012 12:26 AM

too bad Washington, NO, and Charlotte are so bad, i don't think there's a way we can tank below these guys, maybe Washington but the other two are epically bad

Toby 03-12-2012 02:16 AM

6th, 7th, 8th

About where Toronto has been landing. I think MJ gets first dibs, and Stern's Hornets get 2nd pick. You guys usually get the heavy ping pong ball for some reason.
