Wow, its like Kyrie Irving or nothing. The Raptors are stacked at the power forward position, so the Williams kid from Arizona would not be a good fit. I'm reading some scouting reports of Kemba Walker in NCCA tournament, and scouts are saying he would be a good back-up point guard in the NBA. Scouts saying Perry Jones is a power forward who wants to play small forward. Super athletic and length with a low motor, avoids contact, and has motivational issues. Maybe its good to trade the pick. I'm with some other posters, if we strikeout with Irving, trade the pick and get Evan Turner. I think what is going to push Derozan to the next level is some competition. In the long-run, Derozan is more suited guarding the 3 position. Evan Turner is a winner. He just needs a coach that will have confidence in him. A team built with defense, having two wing players who can attack the rim and create for others.

DD cannot and should not guard Sf's in this league. he may be long, but hes not big enough. unless he puts on 15-20 pounds this summer(doubt it) he shouldnt play sf thus no need for turner. curry would be a nice pickup with the pic, bargs, and whoever else they want other than DD, Ed, Amir.

still thinking about his first 10 games of the season? its already march madness wake up, nothing can go wrong with a fundamentally sound player thats already built for the NBA, he's not an outstanding atheltic player but i would rather have a suffocating defensive player coming straight out of the draft rather than an athletic dude

He isn't quick or explosive at all, the only thing he can do is catch and shoot and hes a mediocre shooter. He is basically like Jason Kapono... but not as good of a shooter.

he had a bad start to the season therefore the low shooting percentage, plus his school system gives him that role, tell me has jason kapano ever scored 9 points in 1 minute, able to control his body during a shot with ridiculous and1 plays, a solid post up game on smaller or equal sized guards or running a fast break with the ability to finish?

sorry man the fact you even thought to compare barnes and kapono let alone actually do it discredits your opinion entirely.

respect on the walker DP though.

There's reason to believe Williams could play the 3 in the NBA. If he does declare this year, I'd guess that the teams which put him through workouts will have that at the top of the list of things they are evaluating.

DD and Williams might be a realistic option for building such a team.

Haha yea man... Just a few years ago I hated him, calling him cocky, a ballhog, etc. But I've really grown to like him simply because the dude just knows how to win. And like you mentioned he tries so hard to be the best such as emulating Jordans every move and while he may never be as good him you have to respect him for trying.

BTW I agree Barnes is overrated. He might be a decent starter but he isn't a "face of a franchise" player.

Who knows ... it's a crap shoot

Take a player who will work his butt off (learn, etc) and either knows how to play defense or can be taught. There is no great next one in this draft ...

How are all these players overrated when it's being called one of the worst draft in history? These players are good but nobody is definitively calling them future stars. They simply are rated the best of the draft.

On the contrary, I recall best episodes of defensive play by Demar when he was matched up against bigger slower SFs.
Just like Weems is best defending against PG or SG
