Neither JO or Jose Are Playing Tomorrow Night

Update:

Quote:

Neither Calderon nor forward Jermaine O'Neal, who has missed seven straight games with a sore right knee, will travel to Boston for Monday's game.

Gurk 01-11-2009 07:29 PM

I am neither happy or sad

Xeon 01-11-2009 07:29 PM

I guess that can be considered good news....

N64 01-11-2009 07:30 PM

good news :dancing:

jj33 01-11-2009 08:19 PM

So tomorrow, we are going to get a W.:dancing:

m5racer 01-11-2009 08:54 PM

this is getting stupid

DemonSamuraiZero 01-11-2009 08:59 PM

Yes. Finally. win number 17 for us :yeah:

Kirby 01-11-2009 09:00 PM

I'd prefer JO play considering it'll be Scalabrine or Big Baby guarding him. Him off the bench as the first game back would make sense. That is if he's 100% :sigh:

Dann38 01-11-2009 09:10 PM

The way Bargs is playing J.O. can afford to rest and let that knee heal. Jose? Not so much.

Wow. Get off Jose's dick. Are you blind? You know how much times Jose got blown by Rondo? Jose makes us even more of a jump shooter, his strategy dump the ball to Bosh and stay at the 3pt line is Pathetic.

This why our big man gets into foul trouble, especially Bargs today, instead blocking out his man, he needs to go a stop Rondo, because, you beloved point guard can't keep Rondo in front of him. I couldn't careless if he don't comeback for at least the next 3 weeks, Him playing the Matador clap defense just hurt my eyes.

Simple steps how Calderon runs our team.

1. Holds the ball for 10 secs
2. Dump the ball to Bosh
3. Get the ball back
4. Either someone jacks the shot up or we get 24 sec.

Alternative way

1. Kills the dribble
2. gives it to someone, so he can start to dribble again
3. Dump it to Bosh
4. Bosh shoots it.

Now Calderon's how to kill a fastbreak

1. Once you get the ball, run to the back court
2. Stops at the 3 point line(hard dribble)
3. Wait until the other team's defense is set
4. dump the ball to someone, so they can shoot.

Jose fucked up today... he slowed down the pace considerably and this is coming from a Jose fan... I hope he can heal faster but for now, i think to beat the Celtics you need to play up tempo, not half court offense

Gurk 01-11-2009 11:40 PM

Yea that's why teams like NYK and GS beat the Celts

You are wrong, to beat the Celtics you need to take care of the ball and stay at home on all shooters, play very tough and strong, stay off Rondo-turning him into a shooter and most of all play a flawless game.

for what its worth d.j. augustine said after the bobcats beat the celtics the way to win against them is to never back down on defense and to stay on your man.

basically just play like boston.
play tough and gritty.

DJs word as a rookie talking about the defending champs doesnt mean much, i bet he lives to regret his words.

The real key is alot of teams putting a tall athletic wing on Rondo, alot of ppl think Boston goes as he goes.

lol sorry if you are listening to a rookie kid excited by a win over the defending champs and you actually think that dimwit advice of playing "like they do" is the answer. OMG you solved the riddle, nobody was playing boston hard or gritty these last two years, now they will suck!! DJ reveals the facts!!

I mean "never back down", "stay with your man" this is seriously revolutionary stuff and for sure Boston is now done as a power, now that ppl know this valuble info, ty DJ!

im sure DJ could teach you alot.
he made it to the NBA and im pretty sure you havent.
im pretty sure youre not learning from larry brown and micheal jordan either.

all you so called experts crack me up.

and guys do have a tendancy to back down when theyre overwhelmed on defense or offense. its one of those things thats easier said than done.

Ugo Ferst 01-12-2009 01:30 AM

No seriously, its mind blowing, and here my uneducated non NBA playing self always thought backing down and not staying on my man was the best way to play, thank god ppl like DJ are around to set me str8 ;)
