Raptors tv keeps showing this commercial about nbatv coming to Canada on October 15th? Anybody knows what's going on, is this going to be a new channel, or it's replacing Raptors tv?

^^I noticed that NBATV Canada shows up on that chart and RTV shows up too so they must be two seperate channels.

I brought this up last week, i believe it was Acie that said that RaptorsTV is being renamed to NBATV Canada. Which probably means some Raptors coverage, but alot more emphasis on the rest of the NBA, including alot of games.

just a name change, and I would guess there will be different regulations concerning locally-produced programs, with a higher percentage of feeds straight from NBA TV.

The same nonsense on repeat and barley any real coverage...

All preseason games should of been show on RaptorsTV

Including All post game interviews aswell...

Sounds like a good thing, although rtv had a lot of live games last season, mostly the ones nbatv was showing in the states. In which case is probably a lot more like a name change, like lx said.

At least it might prevent the closing of the channel, they were really struggling.

During the Commercial it says- Channel 0001

What does that mean?

It means "1 channel". Doesn't have anything to do with what channel it's on.

You're right, it's 2 channels. I saw some games are on RTV and some on NBATV Canada.

it isn't 2 channels. One is the former name, the other is the yet to be officially adopted name.
