Oh, it's not just stats that are putting him on the all sucky D team, although if you are measuring, stats are a good place to start. Among those saying he plays poor defense: analysts, journalists, his coach, his GM and fans.

* No-Defense Coach of the Year: Toronto’s Jay Triano. Opponents shot 48.2% from the field vs. the porous Raps, and that’s after the Raptors shed last year’s NDPOY, Hedo Turkoglu. Something is wrong here.
Nobody mentioned this. I guess it is self evident.

Hey, thats what the rest of the NBA fans say about our team, too! What a coincidence.

I actually believe DeRozan will become a better defender if Bargnani and Calderon are traded. Seeing those two vets playing no defense makes himself question why he bothers playing defense, and their ways rub off on him.

Theres definitely the Raptor Way.
New players are active on D and conetst shots etc but then see that they stick out and fade out like the rest. Of recent newcomers only Reggie Evans managed to keep his effort up.
I swear, even Hedo was defending properly when he first played.

Bargs is coming off his best season as a pro.

I'd find somebody else in the league to pick on.

No... When he can do ANYTHING other than just score, I might stop hating (not likely) but I'll never have to worry about such things.

So you have three raptor players being mentioned as one of the worst defenders for their position. Also these are the same players who get the bulk of the minutes. Is it the players or the coach. Golden State has the same problem and they fired their coach. Oh Yeah, let's keep Triano. For all the Triano supporters, is this coach that will remove this team from being the worst defensive team in the NBA the last two years.
