If we end up picking 8th i'll be shocked if Irving is available to us. Draftexpress has him going #1 and Harrison Barnes going 8th.

yea looks like Irving has fallen a bit from before...wasn't he gonna pull out of the draft cause of his foot injury?

Draft express has him at #1. Who knows, these Mock drafts are all different and it's too early to over analyze. We'll see 4-5 months from now where things stand.

It's to early to know if Irving will be picked 8th, but if we manage to steal him

3 of the top 6 picks are from Kentucky. Pretty impressive they always have dope players. They are playing on TV right now I'm about to watch them.

No one knows yet. Even with the injury, he is staying pretty high on draft boards.

Barnes probably isnt going #1. He's sort of looking like a bust right now.

Do you guys think we should get the best available? Or a team need??

I think we should go for a team need. As in a Center, SF, or a PG. If the next best player is a PF or a SG, I think we should pass on him. What do you guys think?

it's really to soon to tell.
because geadline trade are not pass away yet, and because some of this guys can decide to not enter in the draft, who knows ?
A big center will be nice if there is one available, but a dynamic pg can be fun next year !

best available. Drafting for team need has usually never worked out and we aren't in that kind of a position in the first place. If the best player is a PF than we take him or if it is a SG same thing.

When you draft for a team need, you get guys like Haffa.

Alec Burks is the guy I want - if some of the bigger names are off the board. And judging by our current position, that's a possibility.

He just put up 36 and 8 (boards) against #9 Mizzou in an upset victory. He's in the mold of Brandon Roy, a PG/SG with good size at 6'6 and a very smooth, well rounded game.

So far, while averaging solid numbers, he's led a sub-talented Colorado squad to a respectable 12-4 record.

Why did we take Hoffa over Igoudala again?

I'd rather not think about it. True story, I was watching that draft with my brother and he brought up Hoffa as a possibility, as a joke of course - we had watched BYU in the tourney months before and frequently condemned his game. We didn't even know he was in the draft, nor did we recognize his name when called. But when we saw him, you can imagine our surprise. Stupid karma.

Nice to see Motejunas in it, he is really a good shooter and reminds me of Dirk playing style. He can be good offensivelly, but need to work on his defense. Go Go Lithuanians

P.S NBA Comparison: Andrea Bargnani

Some NBA Comparisons:

Kyrie Irving: Chris Paul WOW

Terrence Jones: Lamar Odom/Marvin Williams, for a projected #3 pick that's awful.

Josh Shelby: Jerryd Bayless

CJ Leslie: JULIAN WRIGHT!

Jonas Valanciunas: Primoz Brezic

Those players are from the top 15 from NBADraft.net. Where is Harrison Barnes? A pretty weak draft class. I heard the 2012 draft is supposed to be very nice.

Barnes is 3rd and is compared to Grant Hill.

Player comparisons should be thrown out the window when evaluating prospects.
