They actually have Barnes going #10... next year. Not that it means anything. Oh how the mighty have fallen - on mock draft boards. I think he should stay in school though.

Yep.

Also if Raptors got Irving at 8 it would be a dream come true.

For the question draft BPA or need? Always draft BPA. If it happens to be the same position you ca always use him in a trade to get a need.

I think I respect hoopshype more than many others, but they have Burks as the 1st PG, then Joseph, then Selby, Knight and Walker. they do not have Irving listed at all in the 1st round! Do they know something we don't or are they making the assumption that he will go back to school.

If they think he will enter the draft and drop out of the 1st round, they are kidding themselves.

I'm thinking because they're assuming Irving isn't going into the draft because of his injury.

That's what I'm thinking, that they think the coming CBA combined with the injury are enough to keep him in school. I just don't think in a draft like this one that he would fall far enough for it to matter. If he hasn't said for sure he will drop out, you'd think he'd be listed. There are going to be surprises later, but no LeBrons.

This just further shows that this team needs to win now, rather then trying to go for draft picks. 8th choice is defiantly not going to be worth having such a shitty season...and dont kid your selves Irving is going to be long gone before the 8th pick.....another wasted season on another player thats going to take 2-4 years to develop, thats going to have a minimal impact on this team....... for mediocrity

Kyle Singler, good shooter, plays great defense and has the largest basketball IQ and experience in the draft class. He is the Landry Fields of 2011-12. Why would we want a Duke pg they have a shorter life expectancy then a Spinal Tap drummer.

But how are they going to win now? Peja and Evans for Gilbert Arenas?

Funny what we've come to. .333 pace is about 27 wins and that may be too much for a decent pick. LOL!

3 Buckeyes in there. Nice to see.

Jared Sullinger #2 to Cavs, William Buford #30 to SA, and David Lighty #59 to Boston.

David Lighty is a guy I hope Raptors target in the 2nd round. If he goes to Boston he will be a great role player for them for years. Defensive player who is becoming a better scorer. Good talent for a 2nd round pick.

we should only select a canadian if they are the best players on the draft board when we are selecting. enough of this choosing by nationality crap. can they play? will they make us better? do they fill a need? these are the only real relevant questions.
