Smh...seriously ?...Nonis is GM in name only...you seriously think that Nonis makes all the Marlies draft picks...or has final say in contracts, trades etc etc etc ?

Let's get something straight...it's BB's show and he has final say on ALL matters concerning the Leafs and Marlies
He might get feedback from guys like Nonis, Poulin, Loiselle, Fletcher...and a lot of info from Hughes and Mitchell as well
But ALL final decisions are his

Official position for Nonis is Senior Vice-President of Hockey Operations...he's just another "talking head" for BB (although i will say he's an excellent piece of upper management)

Fuck me..i really wish some of you people would get your facts straight before shooting your mouths off
It fucking irritating and annoying

Yes, i am so far behind in wanting to be the same mediocre Calderon lead team for years to come. LOL. Like I said before, neither Calderon nor Lowry are the starting PGs of our future. But why in the hell are we going to stick with a guy that has brought he nothing but mediocrity for years now.

If Lowry is so bad...LETS FIND OUT. Thats all im saying. Let's find out. Let's give him a string of 30-40 games as a starter to make a conclusion about his fit on the Raptors.

In the meantime. Use Caldy as a trading asset. We don't need him. We've analyzed what he brings to this team for 7 YEARS. Good guy, but not going to take us to a top tier competitive level. His time here is over. Its time to take a risk and make a change.

Calderon wasn't the one that was mediocre. The Toronto Raptors were.

Yes OK. And keeping him as the starting PG gives us a chance, no matter how small or big of a chance at getting out of mediocrity?

People that have the last say normally have the least to do with it... in any business.

Burke doesn't draft these prospects, his assistants and scouting staff do. Burke has been more responsible for the trades / NCAA signings, and the... failed overseas ones. Listen, I don't even dislike BB. I'm not focused on hockey nearly as much anymore. Basketball & Baseball as of now, for me.

sorry bud, the simple fact that the MLSE is finally pouring money into scouting is all Burke. Toronto, contrary to what morons say, has ALWAYS spent a lot of money. The Leafs have always had the most payroll, or close to the top. Where they have failed is in sending money in the front office. Since Burke showed up, they have, and its starting to show.

Rudy Gay is still better, even though he costs alot more but i found this interesting(taken from RGM)

Rudy Gay (age 26): 18.2ppg (16.6 shot attempts), 5.9rpg, 2.6apg, 0.8bpg, 1.5spg, 2.5topg, 41.8% FG, 32.5% 3PT, 80.8% FT

DeMar DeRozan (age 23): 18.1ppg (15.4 shot attempts), 4.9rpg, 1.9apg, 0.4bpg, 1.2spg, 1.7topg, 44.0% FG, 30.8% 3PT, 81.9% FT

Granger is still acquirable and when healthy,he may be a better fit than Gay with his ability to shoot the 3.

Calderon+Kleiza for Granger
Approved On NBA Trade Machine - ESPN

For Indiana,Calderon is a low post big friendly PG who's an upgrade over Augustine and Hill(who can also play SG)

Wasn't Granger adamant about not wanting to play here at the time of the draft?
