Well, in their defense we currently don't really have a starting Center. I will say that i like seeing Davis as the starting PF. And don't be shocked if Jose IS the starter to start the season.

I think many expect Bayless to be the starter. Just saying though, that the lineup they put up isn't THAT far off.

I don't even think that Bayless thinks he's going to start unless Jose is hurt.

They said Jose was solid down low and mispronounced Bargnani's name....we're little more than after thought to these guys. I watched the whole 30 minutes and with the other teams they talked about trade rumours and other shit, for NJ they played an interview with Deron Williams. It is what it is.

The reality is we just aren't a very interesting team to talk about right now. Many Raptor fans aren't overly excited about this coming year. Some are...those who are interested in seeing how certain players develop but I can't understand why they would keep our preview pretty short. There really just isn't much to say.

Some of us on here would like to hear more...but we're the infinitely small majority in relation to NBA.com's target audience.

yeah, but is that really the point of good sport's journalism?

Over here, and by the way in general american sports coverage is far superior to the UK, teams at the bottom of the premiership in soccer are given a lot of coverage and column inches.

(there is some really good coverage here in newspapers, but not so much on television.)

There was no need to talk about a stigma. Again there appears to be very little evidence that a two-tier league isn't entirely accepted, considering that NBATV is connected to the the league, and they can't hold back from making comments that paint things so bluntly.

I think the point of sports journalism is to cover stories. What are our stories? JV might come this year (although that's already been refuted by his current team)? That Calderon was in the gym yesterday doing some core work?

Unfortunately journalism is about ratings. People want to hear interesting stories. We can only talk about whether DD will reach his potential and become a good defender this year so often.

The members of raptorsforum may be interested in other raptor related stories about the upcoming season but I don't fault NBA.com or ESPN or whoever for spending more time discussing other teams.
