Chris Bosh
Last Week's Rank - 8
If 34 double-doubles weren't already enough, Bosh made it clear he deserved an Eastern Conference All-Star roster spot -- probably a starting spot, if only Canada voted like China -- with 27 and 15 Thursday against New York and alleged coaches' snubbee David Lee.

WOOOOOO Ahead of Dwight

There's no way Canada could vote like China. China loves basketball. Basketball in Canada is still far down the list, and let's not get into the sizable difference in populations.

Chris Bosh is not Canadian, so maybe we do vote like China and that's how Steve Nash got in.

Far down is a stretch. Hockey is #1 by quite a bit and after that soccer, basketball and football are there as far as major sports go.

the difference between china and canada has nothing to do with the sports they watch, and everything to do with a roughly 1,292,328,593 difference in population.

And we'd probably have 10 less wins right now since none of those guys is a star capable of carrying the load that Bosh does.

And please don't tell me that Bargs would be avging 25 + 12 without Bosh here. : |

Is that for Bosh?

Or everyone in the top 10 outside of Lebron?

Nice post. Last night and other nights show that Bargnani is not capable of being option #1. Until he shows more of a commitment to attack the rim and get to the line, he can't be option #1. Some people want Bosh off the team, and willing to trade him for half his value just to see how Bargnani does, but the real fans know how valuable Bosh is. I guess NBA.com is realizing his value too.

well also keep in mind Bargnani was playing half injured... yet he could still played decent defense.

Bosh and Bargnani work well off of each other. That matters more to me than who is primo option. Bosh gets more freethrows. Bargnani breaks down defenses more. Lose either of them and the team suffers. Let's hope for a future of Bosh MVPs and Bargnani Finals MVPs. I mean if we're going to dream.

Hate to break it to you man but as well as Bosh has played this year, without Bargnani this team has 10 less wins.

Bosh doesn't carry the load anymore, he shares it with Andrea.

But it works both ways. Let's hope we'll have the pleasure of watching this duo dominate for years to come. I think these cats can take the league by storm.

you're thinking short term - of course a trade like that makes you worse next season. BUT, if you win 20 games, get a really good player in the draft (say john wall) and wait 3 years, Wall, Derozan, azubuike, randolph and Bargnani could be an unstoppable team. The names don't sound like much, but think paul/igoudala/butler/bosh/bargnani - they could realistically be that good in 3 years.

you can mention them all you want, wade is the better player by far. Bosh is playing very well now, but there is no GM in the league who would pick him over wade to start a franchise tomorrow. I haven't read a single article tieing Bosh with miami who doesn't consider Bosh a "captain" to Wade, like scottie was to mike, or gasol is to kobe.

When you are alone in an opinion against pretty much everybody else (even on this forum, I bet there's not more than 5 people who think Bosh is better than wade), you should reanalyze the facts - it's very likely you're missing something

And I'm surprised there are still people here who doubt Bargnani and Bosh don't work well together. In my opinion, it's as close to the perfect combination as it gets. It's almost like they are made for each other.

The only thing they have in common is they are both horrible mismatches on offense, but beyond that, Bosh plays closer to the rim and relies on his quick first step to get the advantage. Bargnani shoots so well and with so much range, that he cannot be defended by most centers that far, but he's too much to handle when defended by quicker but smaller players.

On defense, Bargnani is our best post defender, but he's not that great on the perimeter, P&R etc, while Bosh sucks in the low post, but he's a very good P&R and perimeter defender.

They really complement very well, and I think Bargnani still has huge growth potential, he's still very raw on offense, almost every game you see him still experimenting. I think there's a really good chance that in 2-3 years he will be the best offensive big man in the league. And both can still improve a lot on defense.
