Thumbs up NBA.COM: Hero team of the week- Toronto Raptors

Quote:
Hero Team of the Week: Toronto (3-1) - The Raptors were one of two teams to win three road games last week. That included a double-OT victory in Utah, where the Jazz had been 8-2.

After his team lost its first seven games without Andrea Bargnani, Dwane Casey shook up his lineup and went small on Sunday. The result was the Raptors' best offensive performance since opening night. Of course, it comes with an asterisk, because it came against the Nets' 30th-ranked defense.

I hope we roll with this starting lineup even when Andrea returns. It's tough to guard both Jose and Jerryd because both can create off the dribble and shoot from perimeter. We can slide Barga in at the 4 spot while letting JJ be the prime forward off the bench.

We can only really play bayless at the 2 when there is a smaller sg player, like a Ellis, morrow, around the 6,3 to 6,1 range. And its an exception if theyre pure shooters like morrow.

I wouldn't be so sure about that I'm all for tanking but I've gotta admit this team fights every game. If they can keep it close till the late 3rd-earlyy 4th or possibly come back in the 2nd half I would still be happy

If we had Andrea then I think we'd be able to pull out a win since Horford is out which basically eliminates any of the Hawks post threats. However, without Horford, they are going to really on wing play to get them going, which means we're going to have to rely on our wings to play tight perimeter defense. Which scares me, to be honest.

Last Week: 28 Three road wins in the space of a week at Phoenix, Utah and New Jersey? A 25-point outburst from Linas Kleiza in the Utah triumph after he scored just 42 points total in his first eight games of the season? Six wins in January after just two in January 2010? Surprises galore from the Bargnani-less Raps.
