NBA.com: Dollar for Dollar Jarrett Jack might be the best pick up

To Raptor123.......enjoy!

Quote:

5) Dollar for dollar, Toronto's Jarrett Jack might be the best free-agent pickup this season. Four years, $20 million is pretty good value for a guy shooting 48 from the floor (and 41 from 3-point range), averaging 10 and five.
Other raptor notes:

11) Toronto (31-24)
Keeping the hot streak going despite Bosh's sprained ankle. Bargnani made a couple of huge defensive plays to preserve Saturday's come-from-behind win over Washington.
Quote:
By the Numbers
18 -- Consecutive games in which Toronto has scored 100 or more points, a franchise record. The Raptors' league record for games with at least one 3-pointer stands at 915.

.714 -- Carmelo Anthony's win percentage over LeBron James in Cleveland since 2004. After their double-overtime victory at Quicken Loans Arena on Thursday, the Nuggets have won five of their last seven road games against the Cavaliers.

773 -- Career 3-pointers by Chicago's Kirk Hinrich, breaking the Bulls' team record for threes previously held by Ben Gordon (770).

You'd think Jordan even. It sort of shows how the game has changed with regard to the 3.

Jordan was never really a great three point shooter, and he didn't really start hitting them until a few years into his time. You'd still think he'd be ahead of Kirk Hinrich.

I love Jarrett Jack's fit with the starting lineup. Not necessarily as skilled as Calderon in terms of offense but I really like how his grit and toughness compliment our soft as silk starting lineup.

jordan shot the threes good enough to be able to average around 70 a year. The game was really actually quite different in how the three was used.

at the start of the season i was pretty worried with Jack's shooting. However, safe to say that he has the green light now (he's had it for a while).

The Bulls had some great 3 pt shooters during that era. They had Craig Hodges, John Paxson, and Steve Kerr.

players like Kerr and Paxson were only on the Bulls for only 5 years right?
I think Kirk has been on the Bulls longer, plus, 3's are used more these days

That's true. Plus Kirk plays 30 minutes plus per game. Kerr and Paxson were role players who were 3pt specialist. But both players shot the 3 at very high percentage.

Kerr is the best 3pt shooter of all time.

Kerr is one of the best spot-up shooters of all time but coaches weren't drawing up game plans just to prevent Steve Kerr from getting shots off.

Ray Ray and Reggie are 1,2 the best shooters ever. Doesn't matter whether they're shooting off the dribble, running off a screen or spotting up, they're sticking it. They had to mix it up because if they stood around spotting up they'd never get a shot off.

Jeff you really don't get it. You must be a high school student with excess testesterone flowing in your body.We need both guys playing well at the pg spot come playoff time. Jack is playing well however hes not as talented as Jose. We have DD starting does that make him our best sg .....not........ the same is said about Jack with Jose coming off the bench. I like Jack and hes good for the team, however Jeff he is not better then Jose.

I love the fact that JJ can take over the game by getting to the free throw line at will and finishing at the bucket but normally decides to act as a facilitator. He knows when to turn it on and when to feed his teammates.

They're both very goog PG that imo have their faults and their strengths, and one being better then the other is merely an opinion. Ultimately they're both starter material. My main beef with you has been you're almost dismisal of Jack's skills, i like Jose & Jack both, and to be honest i wouldn't really care which one starts becuase they both play roughly the same minutes most nights and i think both get motivated as the other excels. Competition is a great thing to have, especially among PG's. Can we quit arguing about this? They both bring different things to the table that help the team...the end. Let's move on, the rest of the season + playoffs is what we should be looking forward to.

Jack has been playing good. I like him and I did doubt him at the start of the year but he has gotten much better

Jack is a much better fit to this team, the chemistry between him and the other players are perfect. And he's really good in offensive end too. He's a good shooter and he can score when the team needs it.
