NBA AM: Raptors' Defense Still An Issue

Even when Reggie is healthy he won't play anywhere near enough minutes to qualify as an anchor on defense. This team just doesn't want to give a shit on that end simple as that.

Shit, team needs to be shaken up bigtime.

I for one thought it would work out well this year, but if team hasnt started to get it together bny now it isnt going to .

Changes NEED to be made, and major ones at that.

Whether it is Bosh or Jose or Bargs or whatever, this team needs a defensive pg who can shoot/score and a defensive athletic big who is a decent enough shooter/passer to keep defenses honest. And upgrade at the sg spot would be nice as well but if there is a pg upgrade and a defensive bigman, derozan and belli will be good enoough.

Bullshit.

Evans was never going to do more than play around 15 MPG off the bench anyways. Bench players can't "anchor" anything. The starting five would have still all sucked on D (yes, DeMar is a shitty defender too, just less so than the others).

If you saw Reggie in the first two preseason games, you would be a believer.

Still, we have too many (Hedo,Bargs,PG) floaters not busting their butts for the boards.

evans is a tough guy who will not take nights off like our starting bigs do
bosh and Bargnani have been unbelievably bad the past two games. Combined, they got as many rebounds as Bosh used to get in one game alone in november

that being said, for whatever reason, this team is not trying - I hardly think evans would change that.

of course, you can't take colangelo's words at face value, he's not going to say publicly what he's really thinking. And the last thing any GM would do is criticize the coach in public.

BC's phone ringing off the hook. The funny part is that teams are trying to take advantage of our teams poor performance. Teams are interested in Calderon, Bosh and Bargs. Interesting very interesting.
