Post National Post: Colangelo Will Refuse To Lose, Tank

Restock the pond quickly?

Raptors general manager Bryan Colangelo isn't planning on losing next season despite concerns that the team might be headed for a rebuilding period.

Toronto's franchise cornerstone, Chris Bosh, has left for Miami as an unrestricted free agent.

"I'm not buying the losing approach," Colangelo said Thursday. "I'm not buying it. I'm not buying planning to lose. Plan to win. Plan to compete.

"My strategy, my approach, has always been to try to move forward and put the most competitive and entertaining team out there, and justify the investment that the people put into season tickets, corporate partnerships. And I don't want to leave anything on the table in terms of that effort."

Currently, the Raptors are a 40-win team that just lost Bosh, the team's all-time leading scorer.

"For all the naysayers that think that there's no talent on this team, I've got no shortage of opportunities to move players along," Colangelo said. "People like our players. We like our players, too ... We'll see how quickly we can re-stock the pond, so to speak."
