Nash to T-Dot a possibility?

I've been hearing some rumblings about this (nothing substantial, keep your panties on girls) and in some ways it makes a lot of sense.

With Kerr stepping down, Dragic emerging as a legit PG, Amare likely moving elsewhere and Sarver looking to shed salary and re-tool the time might be right for "Captain Canada" to finally come home.

What we'd have to offer?

Bargs. Or perhaps a package of expiring deals like Evans/Banks + Belli possibly.

Why would Nash come to the Raps?

Triano is still here and so is BC.... 2 people that Nash still has a strong bond with. Not to mention the god-like reception he'd get at the ACC every night.

And Lord knows that THIS could finally be the move that Bosh has wanted all along.... a prime-time PG to play alongside... someone to make his job easier.

Yeah, It's kind of out there..... but you never know.

*prays*

dragic.
hes not ready for the starting role, not this year year when he misses shots, he misses hard, he plays an out of control offense and over dribbling in the lane he's certainly not ready to run a very dangerous offense

It's one of a number of scenarios where teams are crumbling around the edges and facing difficult times. I can imagine Nash could quietly make it known that he'd like to move on rather than continue with his third GM there, and less talent around him than ever, and no money to spend.

The question would be whether Sarver would allow any dealings with Colangelo.

Jesus....still trying to appease Bosh eh?

First off, Phoenix dont deal with Toronto(Ask Mango)

Second, we have nothing to offer them as if they move Amare and Nash they will go into rebuild.

Third, Cant see Nash and Bosh being anywhere near as good as Amare and Nash-now before everyone pussies start receiving their panties let me explain. Bosh does not have the same type of game as amare that worked so effectively with Nash. Bosh is a half court player, Nash fast pasted. Amare is superathletic, able to run like a deer and jump through the roof, Bosh can run fairly fast but his jump is nowhere near what it used to be. Amare attacks the rim relentlessly off of P&R's with Nash, Bosh has done nothing but shoot jumper 80+% of the time on pick and rolls over the last 2+ years.

Someone needs to stop drinking the hard stuff so early in the afternoon? Maybe try the slow-pasted route.

There's no link to anything substantial. Unless you want a link to another message board?

What, suppose you dont agree with the FACT that Bosh is a half court player who prefers to shoot jumpers and isnt as athletic as Amare?

Bosh HAS to be a half-court player because our team philosophy differs from PHX's (and we don't have Nash). It's not like he's some plodding mammoth like Shaq who's incapable of running the break.

And Bosh takes what the defense gives him. Whether it be jumpers, dunks or lay-ups. Like any NBA player should.

Team philosophy has nothing to do with it, it is the style of play that makes Bosh the most effective.

And Bosh has the footspeed to do whatever he wants on offense, but he chooses to shot

oh ok. can you compare how many times has Bargmini drove (with a defender on him, i'm not referring to go-ahead drives here) to the rim or tried to get to the charity stripe? now compare your estimation to the times Bosh drove to the basket and or got to the foul line.

So Bosh has the footspeed to go through double and triple teams designed to STOP him from driving?

Really?

I think we all need to stop responding to Snooch, it'll make this board a better board for real discussion.

Snoochy, I think Nash might help get Bosh a few more open looks.

My opinion is that amare may bolt, and if he does, he will have just played his best season. Happened to Marion, it will happen to him. People are deluded with power and fame, they sometimes forget what got them where they are.

I'd take Steve Nash in a heart beat if Bosh was on Board. This team would be pretty scary with Nash running the point.
