If we get Nash, hopefully they bundle next yr's first round pick and Derozan for an upgrade at SF.

I'm not suggesting tanking. I just think there are better and less risky ways to spend $10M+. Say Nash struggles with injury issues or becomes a liability on defense due to his aging body. What can we do then?

"Becomes" a liability on defense? He is one. He is one of the worst defenders in the league. It's mostly for this reason that I believe both of his MVPs should have gone to other players.

He's still the best option we have to anchor that position.

Then I guess Nowitzki shouldn't have ever been MVP either. Asinine!

So kill our SG position to upgrade at SF? Ross shouldn't be starting.

Love how random kids on twitter are posting shit like

"Steve Nash is Dallas Bound, if they can't sign D Will"

"Steve Nash will sign with Miami along with Ray Allen"

"Steve Nash will sign with Chicago, almost a guarantee"

etc..

Hardly anything about the Raptors on there, which makes for an even bigger surprise when he does sign with us.

Why not? When DeRozan entered the league he started right away, and he was less NBA ready than Ross.

15.8 / 8.2 regular season, sure his stats in the playoffs are higher, but more minutes, more touches, etc.
Dunno where that 18/10 came from.

KG proved that he can still have a massive impact on a game. The move to center will let him continue his beast like performances. He's just gonna keep doing what Dirk and Duncan do and just save themselves until the playoffs.

Those 3 guys are just too fucking good. They've been at it for so long and 14/15 years into their career are amongst the best and most reliable bigs in the league.
Does he have an impact? sure, is he worth 11.5 mil? No, not to me.

I hope y'all still remember what happened after bringing washed-up players like Hakeem, JO, and Hedo here.

That's all.

All of those players had something wrong with them. Hedo's work ethic was horrible, when Hedo got here he was clubbing all day. JO was the definition of injury prone. Don't know much about Hakeem but meh

Because Casey has already said he isn't ready to be a starter. This is Casey not Triano. Casey has already said Valanciunas likely won't be starting, at least for a bit. Ross will not be starting anytime soon.

Operation Nash in place for the Toronto Raptors: Sources says a group that includes team governor Larry Tanenbaum, GM Bryan Colangelo, and coach Dwane Casey is flying overnight from Los Angeles tonight on Tanenbaum's jet in order to be the first team to greet free agent point guard Steve Nash in the morning. The group was attending a wedding of one of the team's assistant coaches in LA today.
