They would want Rudy because they need a SF and if they don't want Gasol or Nash back may as well get something for them. They'd have 1.5 yrs with him and see if he works out. Or possibly sign him next summer if he opts out to sign a long term deal. Are Gasol/Nash part of their long term plans? If not then I guess it depends if they want to get something in return or would rather aim for Gasol to just expire, they're one of few teams in the NBA that letting him expire for cap space is a real viable option since they can attract star players.

All that being said, I doubt either team would do this, and I call bullshit on this. Major reach here imo.

Mehhh, I have no problem with Lowry. He's an upgrade over Jose and at his best he's top 10-12 imo.

Problem is when he hits that level his body breaks down and it's short lived. IF KL stayed healthy I completely agree, I would even say he pushes that envelope towards being inside the top 10.

Yep. Also, the hoopsworld writer is 21 or 22 years old, and while that doesn't make him incompetent, when someone so young talks of "multiple league sources", I suspect he means speculation by interns or scouts or an occasional player, not multiple people in top executive positions telling him stuff. He's probably a bit too new to the job to have built that type of connections and mutual trust.

Yeah, if you really want to ascribe more credibility to Alex Kennedy than to Doug Smith. That would be your issue. Particularly when Grange and probably others are saying the same thing.

Not an issue at all. I think he's a moron. That being said, I thought all along it was bullshit and I trust Grange a lot more than Dougie so I still say it's bullshit. Me saying it must be true if he says it isn't was tongue in cheek.

why? it's exactly what we need for tanking. The only reason I say no is because his contract has two more years on it.
