Default my plan for 2010 (it's bulletproof)

Player 2008/09 2009/10 2010/11 2011/12 2012/13

Jermaine O'Neal $21,352,500 $22,995,000 $0 $0 $0
Chris Bosh $14,410,581 $15,779,912 $17,149,243 $0 $0
Jose Calderon $7,438,018 $8,219,009 $9,000,000 $9,780,993 $10,561,985
Jason Kapono $5,784,480 $6,212,960 $6,641,440 $0 $0
Andrea Bargnani $5,176,440 $6,527,490 $8,485,738 $0 $0
Anthony Parker $4,550,000 $0 $0 $0 $0
Jorge Garbajosa $4,350,000 $0 $0 $0 $0
Kris Humphries $? $? $? $0 $0
Joey Graham $2,449,184 $3,441,104 $0 $0 $0
Willie Solomon $? $? $0 $0 $0
Jamario Moon $711,517 $0 $0 $0 $0
Roko Leni Ukic $? $? $? $0 $0
Hassan Adams $711,517 $825,497 $0 $0 $0
Nathan Jawai $442,117 $736,420 $0 $0 $0

TOTALS: $67,376,354 $59,734,371 $32,790,068 $9,780,993 $10,561,985

Step 1:

Trade Kapono for draft picks and sign two players for $2 (preferably wing and center or 2 wings; whether they are scrubs or european players doesn't matter).

Step 2:

Don't resign J.O. ($22.9 million) + AP ($4.5 million) + Joey Graham ($2.5 million).

step 3:

Collectively; JO + Bosh + AP + Joey G. + $2.5 million from left over of kapono deal = $48 million (in one year).

step 4:

Take that $48.1 million and multiply it by 5 = $240.5 million (suppose all those
players had 5 year contracts and the total would be $48.1 a year in
total between them which adds up to $240.5 million, it works because
of total/yearly cap space for the raptors); take that $240.5 million and give Bosh a $115 million contract for 5 years (an average of $23 million per year) AND another contract that is worth $100 million for 5 years for joe johnson (an average of $20 million per year).

Step 5: That will leave us with the following players;
1. Chris Bosh ($17.2 million in 2010/11)

2. Bargnani ($8.5 million in 10/11)

3. Resign Jamario or someone of equal monetary value ($0.72 million in 10/11)

4. Resign Nathan Jawai or someone of equal monetary value ($0.8 million in 10/11)

5. resign will solomon or someone of equal monetary value ($2 million in 10/11)

6. resign hassan adams or someone of equal monetary value ($0.9 million in 10/11)

7. resign anthony parker ($4 million left over cap from kapono deal +
$1 million left over cap space = $5 million in 10/11)

8. x player (wing or center) ($1 million in 10/11)

9. joe johnson (5 year, $100 million contract) ($17 million in 10/11)

10. jose Calderon ($9 million in 10/11)

11. roko ukic ($2 million in 10/11)

12. kris Humpries ($3.5 million in 10/11)

Our cap total now is $69.3 million, with my plan, you have better players (obviously) AND the cap total will be $67.62 million. We can even maybe trade Bargnani later on for something good because he should be great by then.

lineup:

PG jose/roko/solomon or whatever(whatever=w.e)

sg joe johnson/anthony parker/x wing player (sg & sf)

sf jamario or w.e/adams or w.e/x wing player (sg & sf)

pf bosh/bargs/hump/jawai or w.e

c bargs/hump/bosh/jawai or w.e

bulletproof? looks like you've got a bullet hole the size of a bus at SF. You need hump to be 1.5x the player he is now, Bargnani to continue developing, and ukic to develop along the same lines as jose...

The raps need to trade Bosh for a good SF prospect (e.g. Thadeus Young), and some expiring contracts. They then need to hope to God that Bargnani develops. And, in 2010 pick-up a solid C and Johnson.

If they're going to keep Bosh, then they'll need to go past the luxury tax.

I don't like that plan. Why resign Moon and Solomon. Get someone better than that
