It shouldn't be a rocket science to teach a guy to dribble, hell tie his right arm to the back and play ball only with the left throughout the summer (thats how i did it ) but really i cant believe that there is no person in raps who would be training the players to dribble

Yeah... I don't understand how his dribbling is still so shit, it is plain pathetic hes an NBA guard and can't dribble a basketball.

actually, he's not really even drawing fouls, when he actually drives to the net he is not going up strong, he tries to do a fancy layup around the defender, he needs to go at the defender and force the refs to make a call
instead he tries to go around the defender midair which usually ends up in a block or a terrible layup with no strength in the shot, in fact he also loses the ball a lot when he goes up for the shot

i think his main problem is he doesn't seem to have a high basketball IQ, he doesn't seem to survey the play well

Trade him to the bucks for their first rounder, him and Jennings can be flawed together

we all knew he was going to be a disappointment this year when he was asked what he worked on in the summer and his response was "i worked on everything by playing games"

we all know that just means he played a lot of charity games or "street" games where defense is zero and offense is all about dunks and crossovers and usually where half the roster isn't even made up of nba calibre players

I'm angry at his "do nothing" attitude while the team really needs scoring down the stretch.

However, I'm a firm believer in sticking to what you believe in no matter what the majority say.

Sometimes its the time in between. he's started every single game this year. The practice time in between he usually uses to work on his game is almost non existant and I think his legs are pretty much shot right now by seeing him play.

I feel that he's too sot and afraid of contact. He back off once there is contact and generally wont go back to it. I feel that he's better off when he drives strong to the basket and get fouled. We've seen that happen for a few games this year. He sorta reminds me a bit of Jsmith. both have all the right tools to be terrific players but just love to settle for jumpers rather than drive

Nope. I always thought that at BEST he'd turn out to be a Richard Jefferson type player. Borderline all-star.

He just doesn't have that "natural ability" or high bball IQ that's in most stars.

He has all the tools to become an amazing player in this league, specifically offensively.
Mines just that he sucks.

And how are all the guys he's playing against holding up? Reke is not holding up too well. Save for Wade, LBJ and some clear cut stars, mostly everyone is playing bad.

dude, Derozan is dead fuckling last in almost every measured statistical category amongst starting sg's in the NBA. Why cant we just accept that the gamble isnt paying off.

Do the statistical categories cover the entire season?

Why the fuck couldn't Jose do anything while we had Bosh here? Why the fuck did he get torched by Jameer Nelson in first round against Orlando and make 0 impact offensively?

for a player like demar who gets killed on the defensive end every night, has to be a great offensive player

problem is demar will never have the skill level to make him that player,

he is dynamic athlete but his court awareness doesn't allow him to be great on both ends, thats he never gets big blocks, you'll never see him chase down guys, even offensively he runs away from contact instead of going into it and drawing easy fouls

im not sure if its worth trying to develop his game long term because i already think he is close to his pinnacle

i honestly don't know what the Raptors should do with him, trade him or develop his game,

he is not a fun player to watch, not entertaining at all even his dunks aren't that great because there rarely in traffic

The not being able to dribble part of DeRozans game really bothers me. I would like to see him traded now, I have given up on him.

It really sucks too because I had high hopes for him...

So some players excel when given more of an opportunity and others falter. So he can't be a one-two punch, but he is a starting caliber player in a good team when surrounded with better players. More talent is coming through draft, Val, and free agency. Yes, Demar has a disappointing season, his limitations have been exposed when given a bigger role in the team, but on a good team, he can play his role, rather play outside his game.
