Thumbs down More teams to start wearing sleeved jersey's

Ugghh, I hated the GS ones.

Quote:
Hoping in part to push along sales of NBA jerseys, more teams will wear uniforms with sleeves next season. An NBA source told ESPN.com that as many as five teams will wear the short-sleeve jerseys as an alternate jersey for as much as 12 games during the season. [...]All teams were offered the option to add this jersey, according to Sal LaRocca, the league's executive vice president of global merchandising, but LaRocca would not confirm exactly how many teams have committed to it.LaRocca did say that part of the appeal of this jersey was to offer a different option at retail, though he doesn't expect it to outpace the sales of the current design of the league's jersey any time soon."The life cycle of our jersey continues to be really strong," LaRocca said. "Over the last few years, sales of our traditional tank-top basketball jersey has been growing worldwide. But we know that more men are comfortable wearing T-shirts than tank tops, so the idea that part of our consumer base would be interested in wearing a jersey with sleeves makes sense."

Y! SPORTS

Makes total sense. If you made jerseys with sleeves pretty sure more people would wear them daily where as most people won't wear a basketball jersey daily showing off their pits at work etc.

I dunno, I just wore a t shirt underneath

I will admit, at first I didn't care for the concept but when I saw the GS ones in action I quite liked them (to wear the damn thing though I'll have to stay in shape lol).

These "leg sleeves" aren't a fashion statement, they are compression stockings. Compression stockings make it easier on your veins to send blood back up to your heart, giving your legs a little more endurance throughout the course of the game. They actually feel really nice, I use them in hockey due to the fact that I have a varicose vein in one of my legs and the compression stocking keep blood from pooling in your leg, reducing leg pain and/or fatigue. They also keep your ligaments nice and tight, resulting in a less chance of injury.

I would be down if the raps make it look good. I think it lends itself to the fans much better.

I liked the gs ones. The shorts were the only part of those that sucked.
