more canadian players in the near future ?
during the new owner's press conference, i think it's was the guy from Bell who said he wants more canadian player, and he address that directly to BC.

one weeks later, Magloire come here and sign.
yesterday in the home opener, magloire make a point to thanks Tanenbaum.

do you think we will have more candian player in a near futur or magloire is the obly one we will have for some years to come ?

nash, dalembert, anthony, joseph, thompson ?
or in the draft to come with some candians this year it seems.

I dont think that we will necessarily look for Canadian players specifically.

Jamaal was just the result of a big man presence that we needed for a short season on a cheap contract.

Even though having more Canadian players on the Raptors is a good marketing scheme, I dont think it's the correct method, unless that player is at need to us. I.e, having the 3rd overall pick and you select the only Canadian who was predicted as a 2nd rounder.

oki... i can admit it, but when an owner says he wants more canadians, i don't think it's about a veteran one, even if he is wellcome.

you have in canada some nice youngs to come :

The more in the NBA the merrier, period.
It helps combat ignorance with ideas like "They don't know basketball up there."
Also, it would mean more players in the league that would not tell their agents to put up roadblocks to coming to Toronto out of ignorance.

Wiggins 2015 or bust :)

I'd be cool with us trading down to draft Kabongo, or acquiring a second pick, he won't be worth a top 5 pick if he even declares, however

i don't think any guard is worth the pick that we'll have, so let's just hope Harrison Barnes is available when we're on the clock

Kabongo and Kris Joseph will be mid-late first rounders. You also have Sacre in the second round. Those are the possible Canadians in the draft.

if ur assembling a team based on marketability as a priority that team won't win

Bankiz 12-30-2011 05:59 PM

yes, right, like Drose in chicago isn't a good exemple of what i was talking.

combine the two is possible if the player is a star-caliber or at least a very solid starter.

like if TT was in toronto instead of ED, don't you think that will have an impact ?
