Moon to get a big contract?

Here's an article at Real GM that states that Jamario Moon will be looking at a possible big contract next season.Moon was ranked 87th in season FIC last season and "deserved" 7.4 million dollars Averaging 8.5PPG & 6.2RPG.

If Moon gets $7.4 million per season after this season, I'll shave my pubes and glue'em to my face.

I think Jamario is great player and I'm happy he's a Raptor right now, but there's no way he's getting that type of money anytime soon.

Jamario is a 3-4 million type of player if that. And if he gets that 7.5 or so million and if a team is willing to pay for that, then guess what, see ya Jamario. Nice knowing you.

I agree he's not worth that at all, yet. But, knowing he's playing for a contract he may improve on his numbers from his rookie year and be looking for 3-5 million for next season.

Not a freaking chance in hell. How old is he? 28, 29?...How much upside does he really have? I think he's going to peak soon. Imagine, a $7 1/2M player who can't create for himself and isn't good enough to establish himself as the undisputed starter at the 3 on a team who might has the weakest lineup at that slot. If somebody wants to give him that kind of money then I say let him walk. Parker doesn't even make $5M and he's a far superior player.

You guys are a little silly.

Who do you think is out there?

Who is better?

If he averages the same, or even better, then that is exactly what he deserves. It's called an open market.

You don't maybe appreciate what he is bringing, but on another thread, if guys rip Moon, and say he's no good, you all will have his back immediately.

"oh, Moon should be in the ROTY race"
"Moon shpould be first team rook, second team all defence"
"ah Moon got screwed in the dunk competiton"

And so on and so forth.

Well boys, if you look at the league, guys like that, guys like Moon, Get 6-8 million a year.

Don't be so effin obtuse. You're getting a very good player for next to nothing for another year, enjoy it, because if he continues to be whohe is, he deserves every red penny he has coming to him.

7 mils ~ MLE.
If Kapono got MLE, and Moon is starting before him, I'd say he deserves something in that neigborhood. We'd probably be able to get him for ~5 if we give him a long contract, more likely we'll be trading him though, if we can get our hands on a stud forward.
