Default Moon appreciation thread

So with all the negativity around here, I thought I'd make a positive thread for once

Even though here and there we'll give him crap for a bad game or a bad shot, as a whole, Jamario has been one of the year's best stories and most absolutely likeable players. He's one of the few guys on our team who seems to play with effort and heart most nights, and he's just a joy to watch.

It's hard to believe he was a total scrub to begin the year. I remember thinking "Wtf Sam, you're playing Moon in the 1st quarter?" in the game where he first showed he could impress us. And now look where he's at.

So anyways... yayyy Jamario.

I'm with you MVP .... Jamario's been the "feel good" story of the year from a personal stand point in my opinion. From rags to riches from a basketball perspective too. Other than his questionable shooting decisions I'm proud to have him as a Raptor and will hopefully be a key part of this team for years to come.

We are seeing Moon develop right in from of our eyes. The guy not only raises us off our feet with those thunderous dunks and man oh man I love those blocks. His shooting has improved and so has his decision making. Moon is a keeper and next to you know who lol Moon is my second favourite player on this team.

He is taking it more to the basket lately so thats more points on his favour. He is a rookie after all.

Rags to riches?????

His idiot Agent has him signed on for th eleague minimum again next year!!!!

Poor guy could be looking at 3-4 millipon, instead he's looking at 450000

not exactly money to retire on.

I agree... very impressed to see some of his shooting decisions of late and taking shots he can make. Still could go to the basket in traffic more often but baby steps.

The "rags to riches" comment wasn't necessarily meant from a financial perspective but from a quality of basketball leagues that he was playing in. CBA, Harlem Globetrotters, etc. compared to the NBA.

After next season, Moon will get a nice little bonus with a new contract for definitely more money this time.

When you're making 30K a year, 450K is a lot of fuckin money.

Maybe I keep looking away at the wrong time, but I don't see much of this. But yes his athleticism is great to have especially with all those well-timed block shots.

I hope to see him come back just as healthy but fiercer next season.

450 is lots, yes.

And the one year deal would have been a gamble.

Hindsight is fun though.

Moon has about 200 more Blocks this year that don't ever get counted, it's comical.

And hes shot like 22/30 in his past 5 games or something like that. Hes taking good open shots and hes shooting more around the basket now and is a lot more active on the offensive glass especially. Jamarios the man.
