Cavs Mike Brown sits Lebron/Raptors to complain to NBA?

Quote:
Beat writer Brian Windhorst tweeted Wednesday that LeBron James and the rest of the starters were likely to play Thursday against the Bulls, but to look for a "wave of inactives," including LeBron for Friday's game against the Pacers.

He added that Mike Brown wanted to be fair to the Raptors, which means playing the Bulls at full strength, as well. Windhorst usually has a pretty good pulse on team affairs, so owners can feel fairly comfortable planning with this information. Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison should also be watched.

If I was Mike Brown or a Cavs player, I'd want to play at full strengh for reasons other than just paying respect to the Raptors. The Bulls could end up being the 8th seed. I'd want to pound a potential opponent. Why give them a better chance to win and feel good about themselves? Sure the Cavs will win either way, but why increase the chances of the series going more than 4 games? Guys like Shaq need all the rest they can get. Whatever. Thanks, Mike.

Mike Brown is probably watching out players go down like bowling pins and doesn't want ot risk not playing us in the first round.

Much appreciated Mr. Brown

This can be interpretted as we'd rather play those soft Raptors than the scrappy Bulls in the first round but i'll take it

He'd rather play the Raptors who are without Bosh/Turk and have zero defence

instead of Derrick Rose, Noah and Deng.

I dont know about that

Would you rather your team coast through the first round and not be prepared for a fight in the 2nd round or would you rather they fight a little bit get their adrenaline going and be prepared to fight again in the 2nd round.

I think the more preparation the better, and this case the bulls are better equipped to prepare the cavs for a deep post-season playoff push than the Raptors are. If they just coast through the raps and rest too much they might be caught off guard in the 2nd round.

Who knows they(Chicago) might even upset the cavs, that would be a sight to see now wouldnt it :O

Cavs Bulls vs Cavs Game Thread

Quote:
Given that the Cavaliers recently played the Toronto Raptors and will play the Bulls, Mike Brown reportedly wanted to be fair to both teams as they look to battle it out for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. Currently, the Bulls trail the Raptors by one game, but Toronto will be forced to finish out the regular season without star power forward Chris Bosh (facial fracture).

Heading to Chicago to face the Bulls, it appears that the team will play all healthy players today with a lot of limited minutes coming on Friday when the team hosts the Indiana Pacers.

Haha

Pity from the Cavs

It's actually really funny that he would do this and would make it even more sad if the Raptors didn't make the playoffs

Now, all we need to do is to beg Doc Rivers and Larry Brown to play the Bulls at full strength

Ugh, I had read this thread earlier in the day and agreed with the title thread. Now...uhhhm... not so much.

I do find this a bit weird though, without bosh, wouldn't the Cavs WANT to face us? I know we've played them well this year, but the Bulls usually play teams well in the playoffs.
