He seemed pretty confident, but i don't know where he was basing this stuff on. We will see though.

With the Bobcat, Doug is all defensive about the Raps, and says they should bring back CB, AB, Jose, Marion and Triano. Bobcat asks, well then how can they improve? Doug's master plan to fix things...

1. Let Joey Graham go.
2. Find someone better than Hump or Pops off the bench.
3. Find a way to move Kapono.

Mcowan doesnt know diddly squat about Basketball

It's a fucking joke to hear any basketball related talk on Prime Time Sports unless Doug Smith is on, and even when dougie is on hes licking Mcowans ass.

Mcowan needs to stick to hockey and baseball.

1. Let Graham go?? I'd keep him, he's pretty good off the bench. I'd let AP go instead.
2. Find someone better then Hump off the bench, keep Pops.
3. Yes... Yes...Yes, get rid of Kapono if at all possibble.

And i do think Bosh will be traded this summer, more then likely due to his request or to his lack of commitment to staying beyond next season. As for Jose, he's going nowhere imo.

Oh ya?

Then why out of all people on the Biggest Radio sports talk show "Coast to Coast" he's bringing on Doug Smith to talk to about the raptors?

He's had BC on yes, when was the last time he had Chris Bosh, or the head Coach on to ask the tough questions, rather then a beatgrunt of a local newspaper? The actual players and coach are on the morning show and the Game Plan with Jack.

Not to mention he knows diddly squat about anything thats going on with the team, hell him and Jim Kelly cant pronounce half the names, quote how much there earning or how long there contracts are. He thinks JOSE should be traded and didnt know who Roko Ukic was 1 year ago lol.

His show should be renamed to Prime Time Hockey.

To be fair, when was the last time McCowan had any player from any sport on his show? It's called Primetime for a reason; players are busy, you know, doing that sports thing they do so well.

How inconvenient is a 4-7 time slot for players and coaches? On game night I'd venture to say they're at the arena at 5 o'clock, and when it's not game night they're either traveling or doing their thing at the practice facility.

The players dont play and practice everyday. TJ Ford and Anthony Parker were on Chucks show a few times on there day off last year, I swear one time TJ Ford was on while eating at a chinese buffett on his day off!

But then again to be fair chucks show use to be between 1-4. McCowan has his biggest guest on between 5-6pm. Big Whoop, shouldnt that be the best time to have a real player on? PRIME TIME sports when your biggest audience of the day is listening?

Actually, he has less hockey on his show, than pretty much any show on the Fan. In fact he was commenting the other day that he is getting less and less calls from the public about hockey and especially the leafs. But the fact is there is wayyyyyyyyyy too much hockey talk on that station in general. It's beyond rediculous.

As for having Doug Smith on, well he's better then Fesfuck and about the same as Granger with the exception of Granger can't get two sentences out before the commercial break. That guy is such a mush mouth, he's painful to listen to. But he often has Jack on, occasionally has BC on and as for Jay being on, he's so boring who'd want him on? Plus he's on every wednesday morning with the Morning show.

McCowan doesn't have players on his show because he believes they don't offer anything of substance beyond the traditional cliches. In this regard, I believe he's completely correct.

And the dude knows his hockey.

You always settle the big pieces first. Master plan is to build a team around Bosh, Bargnani and Calderon. We should not pay big bucks to Marion, Graham etc not to ruin our budget and we should get a a good combo guard with the draft pick.

it's not that simple henry. signing marion, ap and graham would actually give us more flexibility to spend than if we didn't sign them because of their bird rights and because of the way the mle would kick in.

Exactly... MLSE should offer Marion whatever it takes. Sure stay under tax if it's possible but they need to sign Marion. If they don't the lineup has very little chance to improve through free agency and Raptors have nothing significant to trade other then core players.
