Default Marion

what a player, can't believe how good he is in a raptor uni

he d's up, rebounds and has crazy post moves, just exactly what we need, if Bosh can step and Bargnani plays better where right there

jose looks like a joke right now, honestly he doesn't know how to push the ball, he can't see wide open guys on the floor, marion had 3 easy dunks against the knicks he missed

i could trade him for T.J Ford right now

So this wasn't a joke.
I thought this was gonna turn into a roast fest.
Yeah he does all the things above.
He wants touches? Tell him to get them. Feed him

Hey Raps man I know you are joking.lol Without going back too many games lets see what the little shit has been doing. Lets look at the last 2 games mej has played against Charlote and Minny. lol

TJ had the worst plus minus combined on his team.2 games
His great play making abilities got him a wopping . 6 dimes in 2 games
His great decisions and ability to take risks got him 10 turn overs . 2games
He shot the ball at a sizzling 38 % clip.

No doubt Jose is having a rough year. Blame it on his hammy or maybe just fatigue, maybe just a mental break down due to the teams poor performance. Regardless Jose is still hand and shoulders better than tj even playing on one leg. However our point guard is the least of our problems.Even if you brought in Chris Paul, tony Parker, or even our guy Steve Nash this team would still be in the same position.
We only have 4 players on this team that other NBA teams would want...they are Bosh, Bargs, Marion, and Caldy. Don't have to look much further to see why we are playing like shit.

both jose and tj are flawed in their abilities, and both have flaws that are so significant that really both are not really that good
tj is a little too risky and out of control as a PG while jose is such a 1 sided PG with no defense
both are clearly not the answers to anything with such clear and opposite flaws

i like him mainly because he gets his stats with such ease that it appears to not take a lot away from the rest of the team, and because he's not 1 of those guys that need to have plays constantly run for him
but he does have his drawbacks in that he really isn't a slashing wing player and his price tag is pretty hefty for a team that doesn't want to go above the cap

Marion looks pretty good out there. It's probably a reflection of the Raps over-all lack of athleticism that he stands out quite so much. I really liked the way he went to the offensive glass. We hadn't seen anyone do that in such a long time.
There's a hell of a lot of room to manoeuvre there when he's the only Raptor in the vicinity. If he stays active like that his time here should be successful, at least from an individual standpoint.

blame it on a lack of motivation? now that he got paid.

He's our best player right now. At least until Bosh gets back into game shape. The problem is we aren't getting him the ball and he really seems like the outsider. I see Calderon dribbling then looking at him then passing it off the parker for some stupid fadeaway, all the time. It's like the old boys club. Alot of our core guys have been here for 3+ years together and it's been difficult to intergrate any new players into the lineup! That's why changes need to be made. The culture here is way too stangnant now. We seem to be going through the motions, the same motions we've been going through for years that no longer work!

Problem is there haven't been any plays run for the wings on this team in years. Everything is designed to go through the high post. Calderon is conditioned to look those guys off. Hopefully BC (who I think is the actual coach of this team) can give Triano some new ideas. I doubt it though.

I really can't see Marion wanting to stay here unless Colangelo really pitches a great plan for the future (ie: moves this summer, players he wants to bring in etc...). Short stay in TDot for Marion imo!
