Could see that, but realistically without Calderon and Larkin, they have a bigger need at PG. Harris or Felton won't cut it.

But the analysis has to take into consideration a team's entire needs, not just one. So while Dallas has a need at PG, they have a more pressing hole to fill at SF. The Lakers have needs all over the place. The Rockets want to get a bonafide superstar.

Lowry won't be their top priority, getting James and Melo will be. And if teams get one of these guys who need the ball in their hands, they'll be looking for cheaper players at the one spot who can play defence and shoot, but who do not need to be the floor general.

Dallas could let Ellis run some point and acquire another combo guard to pair in the backcourt. He was often the primary ball handler for the Mavs last year.

That's the recipe that left the Knicks in the shitter last year. Good luck with that.

The Mavs have better pieces and leadership than the Knicks had. Dirk, James/Melo, Chandler, and Ellis is a really good starting unit, and nothing even close the Knicks had. Plus, the Mavs have a great head coach. The Knicks had Woodson.

Without a floor general, that lineup would have terrible chemistry, especially with Melo. Better with James, but James isn't going to Dallas.

Vasquez would be a good fit there and likely cost just the MLE. I wonder if they would take Collison back.

Wonder if DAL would give up their 2015 first in a SnT for Vasquez, since we have right of refusal.

Ric Bucher is the worst, but:

He works for ESPN but I wouldn't say he's very credible.

Vasquez
Derozan
Ross
Bosh
Valanciunas

I'd rather keep Lowry! Bosh is almost 30 and is not the same player when he was here the last time.

He's no Woj, but he's no Rashidi either. Might well be true.

He seems pretty specific, I am starting to believe it.

I don't see Heat getting rid of Bosh like that. Just seems made up...
