We'd probably have cap room, but big effin deal. Deng's not a PG.

Yeah, Kennedy is a bit of a dingus.

If Lowry leaves, we are looking at a few night shifts this summer shining up the ol' tank.

You got to improvise. If you can't get Lowry, you have to go with Plan B.

Sign back Vasquez and then draft a PG and/or use the MLE on a backup. I think getting Luol Deng to fill a hole at the 3 is better than no Lowry and no SF.

If he leaves then it's time to "rebuild" imo.

Although I'm leaning towards Lowry using these comments to put pressure on the Raps to make some improvements now. Caveat to that; it would be extremely enticing to play in Houston again as he seems to have made amends. The Heat, well it would be extremely tough but doable.

Houston doesn't really have any strong leaders and KL would fit right back in with the team and McHale. Sadly, Houston has trade partners set already to move Asik and Lin to teams with room when they were looking to acquire Melo so conceivable they can move one or the other or both to make room and not send anything back in a S&T (maybe snag Asik?). Miami doesn't have much either but those 3 players would still have to take big cuts....better than the Heat trying to add Melo though imo.

Should wait and see what happens first, KL would be leaving a lot of coin on the table and that extra year to just go somewhere else.

Lowry would be an interesting bridge in the different styles of play that benefit each Harden and D12. I still think Houston would be best if they traded Harden for perceived equal value or slightly less.

oh man, another player becoming good on the Raptors and then looking to leave for somewhere more prominent. When will this 2nd rate team feeling ever stop?!

Dallas will be coming hard after Lowry. They just traded Calderon, Dalembert, Larkin, Ellington and 2 picks to the Knicks for Chandler and Felton. They need a starting PG.

This is what I don't like about the NBA, there's no fucking transparency at all. You think someone is staying and they go. Players just spill a whole bunch of bullshit non-sense about "not thinking about anything".

You had a great year, how the fuck are you not "thinking about the future"? Buddy has it all figured out, and everyone is left in the dark hoping and wondering what the hell they're going to do. I don't expect him to outright come out and say his intentions, but don't feed everyone that horse-shit about not even thinking about one of the biggest decisions of your life.

Sick of hearing this kid talk, I'm just going to wait for July 10 and live with it.

They're targeting Melo and James. I think they would want Bledsoe over Lowry as well, who is younger and a likely better fit next to Ellis.

That's a good point. If they get one of the top guys, they won't have enough to sign Lowry or Bledsoe. I could see a player like Chalmers at the MLE fitting in. He would be a good partner for Ellis in the backcourt.

Not enough for James, not enough for Melo. PHX will match any offer for Bledsoe, but they may have enough for Lowry.

If Dirk comes in at $8M-$9M in the first year of his contract, they'll have enough to offer the max to Melo or James.

People need to chill out. Because teams are creating cap space doesn't mean they're suddenly going after Lowry. The targets are clearly James, Melo, possibly Bosh, or a trade for Love. Lowry is a second-tier FA.

Not at his position. He is the number one UFA PG this summer. So any team looking for a starting PG who have 8-12mil to spend will take a run at him

Creating cap space isn't the driver. Teams can be able to create the cap space. What matters are the teams that have the cap space and a PG need where Lowry would make sense based on fit with the team.
