Its good to hear there was something very wrong with fields... in a way... sorry he's hurt but glad there was a reason for his play and glad he will get better.

Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry will be sidelined another 1 to 2 weeks after being diagnosed with a bruised bone in his right foot.

Lowry already missed four games after sustaining the injury Nov. 6 at Oklahoma City. He was averaging 18.3 points and 6.3 assists through four games.

Also, the team announced Thursday that Landry Fields had surgery on his ulnar nerve in his right elbow on Wednesday in New York. Fields was dealing with tenderness in his right hand and will be reassessed in two weeks.

Alan Anderson will miss 3 to 6 weeks with a partly torn plantar fascia in his left foot.

Am I the only one not surprised that NY doctor said Lowry can't play for so long? We are Knicks main rivals, biased doc is biased. Lowry should have went to LA or somewhere more west

The Dr is originally from LA and is a known Laker fan.

Move along Sally, 1-2 weeks isn't that long.

Just an absurd, misguided theory you have there.

1. This is most likely a specialist, not the NY Knicks doctor.

2. Hippocratic oath?

3. If the doctor was really a closeted Knicks (Nets?) fan, and wanted to screw his rival over, wouldn't his recommendation be to rush the player back on the court so the chance of re-injury is higher? Rest is never a bad recommendation for 99% of injuries. Worst case the player comes back a little rusty, but fresher and less likely to re-injure themselves or injure a compensatory muscle (like limping on one knee you so awkwardly put pressure on the other knee).
------

Sports may seem all important to you, but come on - specialists in major American cities forcing players from rival teams to miss unimportant regular season games to give their team a leg up? It doesn't make sense.
