As nice as MU talks and sounds he is ruthless when it comes to trading players.

Look at what he did to Nene
would make no sense to trade him now, we can't tank no matter how hard we try. By the deadline we'll have 30 wins or so, that's enough to finish outside bottom 10 even if we'd lose all remaining games.

the only thing that would prompt a trade would be a total collapse in our play, which is not very likely.

Were not trading him to tank. Were trading him to get talent.

If the right deal comes a long, that can net us a young point guard in return for Lowry plus a 1st round pick. You have to take it still IMO

Lowry is going to test the Market...

i really think that if he stay here, i need to wait. because the extension isn't enough for him and i can understand that, especially if he can get more out there, even in toronto.

i really think if he play healthy all the season and has a good playoffs prestation he will get the same contract as DD.

so it's smart to not commit.

So you agree he will be traded?

That deal is not coming in a buyers market and even the knicks wouldn't give it to us.

And even if it did MU is going to have a hard time explaining that to the other 14 guys (or anyone else that would ever consider this city).

As for the 2nd part, we have his bird rights.

I really doubt masai is trading picks. And no, you don't HAVE to take it. I'd rather have a pick and cap space than no picks and no cap space Unless, of course, the PG is very talented, but I'm guessing you are not talking about MCW or Burke, but someone like Prissey or TH jr. There's no way we get someone like MCW in exchange for lowry.

I think he means we'd be giving a pick, not them.

Gotcha. That seems even less likely.
