Nash+8th pick is almost just as good as Lowry+14th if not better.

But the thing is there is no certaintity with Nash coming in the future so I would probably pull the trigger if Houston wanted to give us that Lowry deal.

Well, if we can get Nash, Waiters/Lillard/Drummond + be able to make a move for a SF (Gay, Iggy, Batum) then i'm all in. But if Getting Nash hinders getting that SF i'll be pissed because it'll take most of our capspace to sign him. If we sign Nash i think we're looking at a starting lineup next season of.....

Nash
Derozan
Pietrus
Bargs
Val

I would predict 40-45 wins and out in 5 games in the first round.

I would bring in Lowry if possible. Since there is no guarantee that Nash will sign with the Raptors, Colangelo must take matters into his own hands.

JJ is better than Pietrus in everything but shooting so far so JJ it is. But this is all meaningless anyways lol

Unless he knows something i would have to agree. Can you imagine if we pass on Lowry and can't sign Nash?

I mean even if Nash tells Bryan that he will sign, there is no guarantee. Another team might blow him away in free agency.

There's only 2 teams that can out spend us I believe.
Not that worried.

I'm sorry but if the raps can do the 8th pick for Lowry + one of houston's picks they have to jump at that situation. This team still needs some more talent. We need assets. Nash could go to Brooklyn, Indy, Dallas, or stay in Phoenix. Lowry can rebound quite well for a PG and can defend.

+1

Being outspended is not the issue. As good as Nash still is, we really don't want to overpay. A bad contract just slows the rebuild.

Why does Nash want to come here? You think he'd want to go and win a championship.

W T F.

Guys, Lowry ain't all that, honestly. He is no better than the kids that you could draft. Why are fans never happy here in Toronto. Nash is one of the best ever, and still near the top in the NBA. His value to a team, especially on a young team is not measured in stupid fucking stats like "usage", it's intangibles. Teaching players how to prepare, how to play, how to be a pro, and oh yes, winning way more effin games.

The ability of people eon this board to reduce everything to Youtube highlights and stats, ridiculous and unfounded comments like "ceiling", or whatever is mind blowing. Why is it so painful for people to look at things with perspective and try to see the bigger picture?

I don't think Steve Nash is coming. I think he has other idea's, and I have no idea why I think that, it's just a feeling. That said, if was coming, Toronto is taking a PG in the draft, you know they are, and that PG would have 3 years of mentoring from one of the best to ever play the game, and by then, Toronto's other stars would be coming into their prime. Imagine Kendall Marshall, or Lillard, 3 years from now learning to play with Casey as coach and Steve Nash as their mentor, playing with JV, and however the eff else is there still, having had a few more years to grow. You don't like that???? You think this Lowry guy is a way better idea for the fanbase, for the franchise in general.

You're out to lunch if that's the case.
