Watch it again. You can CLEARLY see an envelope that has a bend in the corner of it. Stern scopes it out as he slowly opens the little window of the drum. Then he grabs the envelope with the bend and immediately unbends the corner.

the reason why markets like toronto, ny, & bos don't regularly get #1 picks is because they can make a large enough profit even without star players being there. there will always be close to sell outs every home game in these markets, you don't think the nba knows that?
Dude.

Why would you give large market teams the picks? the already draw huge tv numbers. it's the small markets that need success to draw numbers.

aint that hard to understand.

Let cleveland rebound fast, give them 1 and 4 so they can rise up. the story line will be MASSIVE when they are competing against miami in a couple year....... GET IT?

YouTube comments on this video:
"Look at that big pressure exhale by Stern before he grabs the first one. It says "I better not screw the plan up and grab the wrong one." Notice his body language for the other ones. He couldn't care less.

This little bastard has been fixing the league to his liking for a quarter-century now. I dream of a tell-all book that exposes him for the crook he is. A truly cunning, evil human being."

"Notice...he looks at the first envelope as he reaches for it....and for the rest he just blindly reaches in"

When the Lakers were in the lottery and trying to rebuild a team for Kobe, what happened? They drafted 10th. I can come up with all kinds of examples of how it was in the league's interest to rig it a particular way and it got nowhere near that result.

I know, which is hillarious. Almost as funny as how they stole Kobe from the Hornets for Vlade. Stern planned that, too!

If they were so worried about teams relocating, wouldn't the league have given Sacramento a top 3 pick this year instead of Utah?

Its just all a matter of fact of what you want to believe. Rigged or Unrigged.

You can say that the NBA rigged it when Wade and Miami won a championship before becoming the worst team in the league. Boston vs Lakers to gather more attention and make money. etc. There is a long list of things that seem rigged and things that dont seem rigged.
Just depends on what you wanna think imo....

There's absolutely no difference between the WWE and the NBA. We all see steroid filled athletes participate in matches that are scheduled and pre-determined by a higher power.. The Draft is obviously rigged, Stern would never let the future of the league go to completely random teams..

Wtf how the hell did he know that he was going to cleveland. I swear the only guy in the room that was supposed to know the pick was the guy that came out of the room. Did he guess, ya right they won with the 2 percent pick so idk about that.
You're insane. Truly.

NBA = WWE

Anyone watch the Mavs/Thunder game? Jason Terry clearly dunked the ball before the buzzer. Because the betting line was 6 or 6.5 at some places the referees waived it off lol? Coincidence? Maybe...

YouTube - ‪terry‬‏
Waiving off that bucket was the right decision. If you watch the clip, you should be paying attention to the red light on the backboard, not the clock on the bottom of the screen. The clock on the bottom of the screen is run by the TV station and is almost always slightly delayed from the game clock. It's very difficult to sink them up to the exact tenth of a second. In fact, this is why the league introduced the red lights going off on the back-board: they noticed during a couple of reviews of close shots at the end of games that the various TV stations clock's had margins of errors. It was caught when certain cameras were focussed on the actual game clocks and saw a discrepency from the TV clocks, even though just a slight one.

So, look at where the ball is when the red light immediately goes off. At the 23 second mark of the clip, the light goes off and the ball is still touching Terry's hand and just getting ready to enter the cylinder. If the ball is still touching Terry's hand, it technically has not been shot. The correct call was made. End of story. No conspiracy.
