Linas Kleiza- over/under 11.5ppg
Will Kleiza score over or under 11.5ppg?
|
This is my first under
|
not saying LK won't be a useful player for us, esp if all the "ifs" turn out to be true but i think it'll be a fair bit under 11.5, i'd say more like 8-9ppg.

If to be honest, I think it will be over, Kleiza should be healthy this season, I think he will have a starting role and play 25 mins per game. His game is too score, not to make assists. He should get 2-3 possesions in post game as he is good at it, around 5 three throws and if he manages to hit 2 3-pt'ers in that 25min time. I think he will average 13-14pts. I I believe that it's going to be a good season for him, fuck me right?:cookie: |
LK will be better than LF
|
If Kleiza doesn't work hard on Defense, I highly doubt if he will get 20+ minutes this season. From what I've seen, he's not really a good defender and thus his playing times will be limited.

13 ppg. It's going to be a good year for Kleiza, but he'll continue to be inconsistent so he'll be frustrating to watch.
|
The only way he averages over that amount is if Fields is awful or gets injured. Kleiza is going to get less time this season judging by the acquisitions, with Ross sometimes playing SF, and Kleiza likely getting less time at PF as well with our addition of Val(Ed, Amir, Bargs playing 4).
|
possible over if he avoids the 5-10 minute games and just gets a DNPCD instead.

Edit: I know you said Ross would play some SF but I'm not sure he can handle it at 6'6" and 195lbs. At least DD is 6'7" and 220lbs now - too bad he can't hit that 3 consistently. |
the only way its over is if he gets major minutes... and i dont see that happening. We've added 2 wing players that will be getting the bulk of the minutes at SF (Ross, Fields).... and i think Klieza will be below them on the depth chart.
dont get me wrong, i love the fact that LK will be coming off the bench for us, and im sure he'll have some big impact games, but just not enough to push his scoring in the double digits consistently. i see him averaging 8-9 a game easy. my hope for kleza this season will be to work on his butter fingers. |

My guess for the starting line-up after training camp will be Val/Bargs/DD/LF/Lowry with Gray/Amir/LK/Ross/JC off the bench. I just don't see room for Ed, AA, Mcguire, Lucas, Magloire or even Acy much (though the team has to cut one still) unless someone is injured or a trade goes through - which I'm suspecting there will be. |
He's never been over, neither will he be the upcoming season, nor the next after that.
|
Over... he's gonna be healthy and he's going to be taking some big shots. This team needs him to be able to up his scoring consistency and I hope the knee holds up
